Minecraft Switch revenue

When it comes to revenue, Minecraft has earned more revenue on Switch than its competitor consoles. It was revealed this week that the game has generated the most on Nintendo’s platform for dedicated gaming hardware.

News about that was shared as part of Microsoft’s attempted acquisition of Activision Blizzard, which has seen a courtroom battle with the FTC. One line of questioning concerned Minecraft. Microsoft was asked if the game is “a significant revenue driver for Xbox”, which the company confirmed is correct. However, it’s actually the smallest on Xbox. PlayStation is about twice as big, but Nintendo is roughly twice as big as PlayStation. That puts the Switch version as four times bigger as Xbox as far as revenue is concerned.
