Nintendo is celebrating the upcoming release of Pikmin 3 on the European Club Nintendo site. Users can now use their points to purchase Pikmin plush figures. Registered members can choose between red, blue, and yellow color variations. Each costs 2000 points.

Precursor Games has announced that a relaunch for the Shadow of the Eternals Kickstarter is coming on July 25. In its announcement, the studio thanked the community for supporting the project, stating that it has been “a huge inspiration and motivator for us.”

Precursor said:

“Your feedback has been instrumental in many ways throughout the process of creating the new campaign and we can’t wait for you to see what we have in store for you all.”

Last month, Precursor unexpectedly pulled the plug on Shadow of the Eternals’ original Kickstarter. The company explained that a relaunch was necessary in light of “more support from our community than we had ever hoped for”, which paved the way for “new exciting opportunities that will make the game better than we envisioned.”

Nintendo is preparing a special Year of Luigi soundtrack for Japan. A total of thirty songs will be included, and will feature tracks from Luigi’s Mansion, Paper Mario, Mario Kart, and more.

The Year of Luigi soundtrack will be available on Club Nintendo for 400 points. Those who register Mario & Luigi: Dream Team can get the reward for 200 points.

The official Smash Bros. website has given us a bit of a treat. Typically, the page has offered a new screenshot from the Wii U and 3DS games. But today, Nintendo chose to show off a brand new character (well, characters actually): Pikmin and Olimar. You can find the first screenshots in the gallery above.

REDMOND, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– The StreetPass Mii Plaza application is expanding with a free update that adds touch-screen controls, a new layout and four new games available for purchase. Nintendo 3DS owners will also receive new expressions and greeting options for their StreetPass Mii characters with this free update, along with new panels for Puzzle Swap.

Nintendo 3DS owners who connect wirelessly to the Internet will also be able to buy new StreetPass games that they can play with other Nintendo 3DS owners as they go about their day. The games are now available for purchase from within the application at $4.99 apiece, or $14.99 for all four. The games are:

Accompanying tonight’s North American 3DS firmware update are a bunch of new StreetPass Mii Plaza puzzles. New panels include Xenoblade, New Super Luigi U, and a Nintendo Starlets. Keep the StreetPass hits going to fill in those new puzzles – or walk around a bunch with your 3DS and use Play Coins.
