Guild01’s original retail release in Japan consisted of four games. Three of these titles in total will be released on the North American and European 3DS eShops – Liberation Maiden, Aero Porter, and Crimson Shroud.

The question is, what happened to that last game? “Omasse Rental Weapon Shop” hasn’t been confirmed for overseas territories yet.

Level-5 says there are two hurdles in the way of a western release: the amount of text and Japanese culture. While the company is considering localization, Omasse Rental Weapon Shop is “extremely text-heavy, and it functions on the expressive power of its text and language.” Level-5 is also considering “whether or not a large enough audience outside of Japan would appreciate a game that relies so heavily on knowledge of Japanese culture.”

Right now, content can only be transferred from a Wii to Wii U. Moving data from one Wii U to another is currently impossible.

Fortunately, Nintendo is looking into such functionality. The feature would presumably work similar to 3DS transfers if/when it were to be made available.

According to a Q&A excerpt from Nintendo’s support site:

I know games can be transferred from a Wii to a Wii U, but how about from a Wii U to a Wii U?
Transferring data from one Wii U to another Wii U is not supported at this time. However, we are looking into this feature and will provide an update if there is anything to report.

If I bought a Basic console and purchase games from the Nintendo eShop, and then buy a Deluxe console and want to transfer those games, is that possible?
Transferring data from one Wii U to another Wii U is not supported at this time. However, we understand that this is a feature of interest to some consumers so we are taking that into consideration and are looking into this feature.

The US Club Nintendo site will only give users 160 coins if they register their Wii U systems. That’s the same amount as the 3DS and 3DS XL, even though the console’s real price value is quite a bit higher.

Those who were hoping that the registration would also provide a warranty extension will be disappointed. The Club Nintendo site confirms that no such offer is in place.

Co-creative director Florent Sacré talks to me about ZombiU’s “Survival” mode, creating a tense atmosphere, and how “open world” the game is.

There are a lot of Wii U launch games coming out on Sunday, but none of them are quite as hotly anticipated as Ubisoft Montpellier’s ZombiU. This isn’t necessarily because we all think it looks incredible (which, admittedly many of us do), but there’s a certain excitement surrounding it that isn’t present when talking about New Super Mario Bros. U or Scribblenauts Unlimited. It’s a new IP, for one, but it’s also a return to the survival horror styles of yesteryear, and it uses the Gamepad more interestingly than any other launch title, bar none.

Even if you forget about all of that, though, the concept alone might be enough to call ZombiU the zombie game we’ve been dreaming about for years.

Well well well, just 24 hours until the midnight of November 18th here in Minnesota. Needless to say, I am pretty darn excited! That being said, me and the podcast crew have an awful lot of stuff to get done both before, on, and after that day, so I figured I’d fill you in on our current plans for tomorrow, Sunday, and beyond:
