Although The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword was not listed on Nintendo’s press release for second quarter releases, the game is still on track for this year. Nintendo previously said that Ocarina of Time 3D will launch first and Skyword Sword will ship at a later date. It does appear, however, that the game will not release in early 2011 despite Eiji Aonuma’s original goal. If I had to guess, I’d say that Skyward Sword won’t be out until the holidays.
The Nintendo 3DS™ acquires its first million selling title!
Capcom Co., Ltd. (Capcom) is pleased to announce that “Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition” for the Nintendo 3DS has shipped one million units worldwide.
“Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition” adds a visceral 3D depth effect and perspective, a fully featured online matchmaking system, the ability to play against other Nintendo 3DS owners with only one Game Card, and more new content for a refreshing, complete experience. Players can also utilize the system’s Touch Screen to control their character, providing beginner players with a simple control scheme to enjoy the action. These features, possible only on the Nintendo 3DS system, have received high praise from users and have successfully expanded the audience for our fighting games. In capturing both new fans and longtime fans of the series, we were able to reach the one million unit mark for this title.
“Street Fighter” was first released in the arcades in 1987. This was followed up in 1991 with the smash hit “Street Fighter II”, and as of April 12 2011, the series as a whole has shipped over 31 million units on home consoles worldwide. The innovative battle system found in the “Street Fighter” games helped to establish the fighting game genre.
Update: No Ace Attorney either. Sorry!
To be honest, I never put much stock into the Monster Hunter 3DS rumor. If there was going to be a Monster Hunter announcement, it would not take place at an event like Captivate. I’m sure Capcom would save such a significant reveal for Japan.
In any case, all speculation can be put to rest: there was nothing Monster Hunter-related at Captivate. Capcom confirmed that the series was not represented at the company’s event last week.

Another Monday come and gone! I hope it wasn’t too rough for any of you, and if it was, hopefully this video can either put you in a better mood, or show you that at least you’re not me.
Happy gaming this week, folks!
