It’s the start of a new year, and as is tradition, a new Choose Your Legends event has just started in Fire Emblem Heroes.

Voting has opened for Choose Your Legends: Round 8, with players able to vote for their favorite characters from across the entire Fire Emblem series. Once voting has concluded, the top two male and top two female characters will appear in Fire Emblem Heroes at a future date sporting special Choose Your Legends outfits.

We have the results for the newest Splatfest in Splatoon 3, which had Friends vs. Family vs. Solo going to battle. The theme asked players how they spend their holiday.

When Nintendo showed how things were going at halftime, Team Friends was in the lead – but barely – at 34.54 percent. Next up was Team Solo at 34.17 percent. Finally, Team Family landed at 31.29 percent.

Our coverage of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Legendary Pokemon continues yet again with a Solgaleo location guide, including its exact location on the Paldea map plus instructions on how to spawn it via the Indigo Disk DLC.

Solgaleo and its counterpart Lunala are the boxart Legendary Pokemon from Pokemon Sun and Moon. Cosmog isn’t available in this game unless you transfer it forward with Pokemon Home. In that case, Cosmog will evolve into Solgaleo if leveled up in Pokemon Scarlet and into Lunala if leveled up in Pokemon Violet.

Postal: Brain Damaged is making its way to Switch, an eShop listing reveals. The title arrives on February 2, 2024.

Originally released in 2022, Postal: Brain Damaged is a spin-off of the franchise as a first-person shooter inspired by games from the 90s and 2000s. We’ve got more information in the following eShop description:

In a post on Nintendo’s recruitment website, developer Uenaka Minoru shared insight into his work on Metroid Dread, including CG and amiibo. He’s been with the planning and production department since 2019.

Minoru’s post goes into working with MercurySteam and how the “finest details” needed to be considered since CG was used on Nintendo’s website, the boxart, and more. Working on E.M.M.I. was probably the biggest aspect of the project since it required “a sense of realism that required not just cooperation from the series development team, but also cooperation with other companies to get the fine details properly finished and as convincing as possible.” As for the amiibo, he wanted to create two poses so that it would look like Samus and the E.M.M.I. were squaring off.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is making a slight comeback this weekend as new spirits are being added to the game. Let’s also not forget that Sora, the last DLC fighter for the game, gets an amiibo next month. Even more than five years later, there’s still an active fanbase as well.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate contains the series’ biggest roster yet. It also did what some may not have thought possible by bringing back every character from all past games – DLC included.

With such a big roster available, which fighter do you tend to go with in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate? Do you have more than one that’s in your rotation? Let us know in the comments.
