Modern 8-bit Mario amiibo up on Walmart

Walmart has added the 8-bit Mario amiibo to its website. Naturally though, due to Black Friday, the retailer is being absolutely slammed at the moment. That means you’ll probably have some issues adding the figure to your cart. It might be easier to try nabbing him later in the day!
I’ll also quickly mention that some other Walmart deals that we previously posted about are now starting to go live. That includes the Smash Bros. and Splatoon Wii U bundle for $250.
North American Holiday 2015 amiibo commercial/trailer

Nintendo has come up with a new North American amiibo video in time for the holidays. It’s officially labeled as a trailer, but its 30-second length and narration indicates that it’s really more of a commercial. Either way, view the video below.

Lottie amiibo up on Target

Update: We’re hearing that Lottie is being removed from people’s carts, so there might be an issue with Target’s website. In any case, you can always head to your local store for the amiibo!

SNES is now 25 years old, amiibo is a year old

It’s another dose of Nintendo birthdays today! The SNES and amiibo are now a year old.
In Japan, the SNES launched on November 21, 1990. Meanwhile, the first amiibo figures came out one year ago today.
Like I said a few days ago, November is a very busy month for birthdays. The Wii U and Wii, and even Shigeru Miyamoto had their special days earlier this week.

Standalone Chibi-Robo amiibo is an Amazon exclusive, pre-orders open soon

Update (11/19): Bumped to the top. This should be up in a little under two hours.
Original (11/18): The standalone Chibi-Robo amiibo will be available in North America on November 30. However, pre-orders will be going up tomorrow.
You’ll want to keep your eye on this Amazon page
at 5 PM ET / 2 PM PT. It’s worth noting that Chibi-Robo is an exclusive to the retailer in the United States. He’ll be sold for $12.99, like most amiibo.
Mega Yarn Yoshi amiibo pre-orders up on the Nintendo UK store

The Nintendo UK store has opened up pre-orders for the Mega Yarn Yoshi amiibo. There are three different options to check out here. There’s the standalone version (£34.99), plus two different bundles at £74.99 and £116.99 which feature items like Yoshi’s Woolly World, other Yoshi amiibo, and a mini bag.
Gold Mario amiibo might not be exclusive anymore

The gold Mario amiibo came and went at Walmart back in March. Most figures have received restocks and are fairly easy to find now, but that one is still tough for consumers to get their hands on. The situation might be changing in the near future though.
Walmart recently updated its amiibo terminal, and it no longer shows that gold Mario is an exclusive. This could be a sign of a restock across a wider array of retailers.

Walmart will have a minimum of 21 Modern Color Mario amiibo per store on Black Friday

The Modern Color Mario amiibo will finally be leaving the Super Mario Maker Wii U bundle later this month. In time for Black Friday, the figure is being sold separately at Walmart stores.
While the Modern Color Mario is a Walmart exclusive, it should be pretty well-stocked. The retailer’s Black Friday ad claims that stores will have a “minimum” of 21 units.
