Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization

Bandai Namco showed the first footage from Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization running on Switch today. Get a look at the full recording below.

System: Switch
Release date: September 28, 2018
Developer: Arc System Works
Publisher: Bandai Namco

Arc System Works has had a long history of developing and publishing refined fighters going all the way back to the late 90’s with the original Guilty Gear, so it’s undoubtedly a match made in heaven for the studio and Dragon Ball to partner up and deliver one of the best 2D fighters in quite some time, Dragon Ball FighterZ. Having initially been released in January, I’d like to think that Dragon Ball and fighting game fans alike were consumed by it completely. It was difficult to put down as it had an intriguing story, introduced new characters like Android 21, and played and performed like a dream. Fast-forward a few months later, and now Switch owners can experience the fight for themselves with a stellar port that brings with it all the beautiful animations and accessibility with little to no sacrifice other than a missing d-pad.

Gale Force (Inasa Yoarashi) was teased as the next fighter to join the video game based on the hit manga and anime My Hero Academia. The character is a pre-order bonus for the game releasing October 26 on Switch.

Katamari Damacy Reroll

V Jump featured a pair of Bandai Namco games during a live stream at the Tokyo Game Show last week. Get a look at footage from Neko Tomo and Katamari Damacy Reroll below.

Digimon Survive

In a recent issue of Famitsu, a couple of Digimon Survive developers were brought in to discuss the game. Producer Tsuzuki Katsuaki and series producer Kazumasa Habu talked about the game’s concepts, choices players can make in the game, how you’ll Digivolve in battle, and the amount of Digimon included.

We’ve gone ahead and prepared a full translation of the interview. To read it, continue on below.

Namco Museum Arcade Pac, the new collection bundling together Namco Museum and Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus, is out today. Watch the launch trailer below.

With Dragon Ball FighterZ finally arriving on Switch tomorrow, Bandai Namco has shared a new live action launch trailer. Watch it below.

Dragon Ball FighterZ can be pre-loaded on the North American Switch eShop. In Europe though, that’s not the case. It’s a bit of a problem since as we know, there are a few different bonuses for pre-ordering.

Bandai Namco is making good on the situation by offering what would have been pre-order bonuses available for the first month. Anyone who purchases Dragon Ball FighterZ on the European eShop during this time will receive Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden, early unlocks to Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta, and a pair of exclusive lobby avatars.

Dragon Ball FighterZ

Dragon Ball FighterZ lands on Switch this Friday. Based on early reports, it’ll come with a day-one update.

Bandai Namco has yet to detail the patch. However, players have thus far indicated that it adds in support for online-related features.

The day one update for Dragon Ball FighterZ takes up 709MB of space. It is not required to begin playing normally.
