Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has sold 500,000 copies on Switch, Bandai Namco announced today. That number accounts for all copies moved worldwide.

As was the case a few months ago, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has become scarce once again in Japan. Bandai Namco hopes to have more shipments ready for early February.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

Bandai Namco has demonstrated its commitment to Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 with a ton of new content. The game has regularly received new DLC as well as free updates.

The next content drop for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is set for February. Bandai Namco will be releasing Extra Pack 2 featuring a new story scenario and four playable characters. One of these characters is confirmed to be Fu, a mysterious teenager who carries a ninja sword on his back.

Bandai Namco has published a short video interview with Aoba Miyazaki, the producer of My Hero Academia: One’s Justice (or the “My Hero Game Project”, as Bandai Namco seems to want to call it outside Japan for now). Make sure to click the “CC” button to enable subtitles:

ContraNetwork put together a video showing how the new Switch version of One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 compares to the original. Check it out below.

Before Soulcalibur VI was revealed, there were (perhaps unfounded) rumors about a Switch version. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look to be happening. Some had hoped that Bandai Namco could be saving news about a Switch version for January’s Nintendo Direct, but that doesn’t appear to be the case either.

Producer Motohiro Okubo told Metro that Soulcalibur VI isn’t in development for Switch. That’s partially because the project started over three years ago, well before the console existed.

Bandai Namco has issued the first trailer for the newly-announced Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus. We’ve posted the video below.

Bandai Namco published the first official details and screenshots for upcoming Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 content. We have the lowdown on Extra Pack 2 – featuring new character Fu – plus what’s planned for the next free update.

Bandai Namco provides the following information:

Following the news that My Hero Academia: One’s Justice is getting a Western release, Bandai Namco UK has released a first English trailer for the game. That said, the trailer still uses Japanese voice acting. We don’t know yet if this is reflective of the full game, or if it’ll feature the English dub, or perhaps if dual audio will be an option. Also, it seems like Bandai Namco hasn’t quite decided on a name for the localized version yet – the trailer calls the game “My Hero Game Project”. We wouldn’t be surprised if the game was called My Hero Academia: One’s Justice in the West anyway though – especially since it was trademarked under that name in Europe.
