Final Fantasy Explorers features classic characters through transformation
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 6 Comments
This week’s Famitsu has another update on Final Fantasy Explorers. There’s one game element in particular worth bringing to your attention.
According to the magazine, Final Fantasy Explorers allows “legendary characters” (main characters from the series among others) to join the fight. This is possible with the transformation ability which allows players to change their form for a limited time.
Final Fantasy VII’s Cloud Strife is the first classic character reveal, and Famitsu shows a couple of screenshots. We should be hearing about more legendary characters in the coming weeks and months.

Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
The Final Fantasy Explorers details just keep on coming in. The latest batch of information – rounded up below – covers the Resonance feature and Libertus.
Details are as follows:
Resonance feature
– Can’t be activated
– It’s instead something that responds to continuous use of abilities of all the Explorers
– The number over the Crystal icon located on the top-left of the screen increases after hitting an enemy or helping an ally
– Different benefits that Explorers can get by continuously increasing this number
– Ex: having higher Resonance numbers could help you do more damage against enemies or heal your allies better
– Once you stop using abilities for a while, the number will start going down
Libertus
– Once again, this is the home town and base of operations
– The central building is a facility where an organization called Union manages their business of giving Explorers tasks and other jobs
– To the left is the reception area of the Union’s building
– Explorers can get work at the reception area
– Item store, workshop, and fortune-teller also in Libertus
– Moogle tent as well
– Unclear what the Moogle tent’s purpose is
