BLOK DROP U creator Michael Aschenbrenner has shared a new look at the game’s upcoming update on Miiverse. As shown in the shot above, it’ll bring about an upgraded art style, including slight shadow effects.
Aschenbrenner’s full Miiverse message reads:
Today is day 1 of my 3 day reveal for the new BLOK DROP U update. Today’s screenshot is of stage 11 and shows off the new art style. Also, you will notice that I added a slight shadow effect to the bloks and blades to give the game a dimensional look. Let me know what you think in the comments and check back tomorrow for another screenshot reveal!
Wii U is Ludosity’s favorite version of Ittle Dew
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 1 Comment
Ittle Dew has been made for PC, Mac, and Linux. But it’s the upcoming Wii U version that Ludosity founder Joel Nyström says is his favorite.
Nyström told NintendoWorldReport.
My favorite version is actually the Wii U version. Being the last and final version of the game, it has a little more love and polish than the other versions, plus it has some nice features the others don’t have.
On Wii U, Ittle Dew features “a map that is revealed as you go in real time, and the ability to play off-screen.” The Pro Controller and Classic controller are supported in addition to the GamePad.
One element the Wii U version of Ittle Dew won’t support are online leaderboards. Nyström explained why this is so:
Unfortunately, we don’t have online leaderboards on the Wii U, since it would mean we’d have to set up our own servers, etc. That’s a whole other ballpark that’s outside of our reach as a small indie studio. We do still have locally saved best times, of course.
Counterplay Games considering Wii U stretch goal for DUELYST Kickstarter
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 11 Comments
Counterplay Games’ Kickstarter for DUELYST – a squad-based tactical combat title – may receive a Wii U stretch goal.
We recently asked the team if Nintendo’s platform has been considered for the in-progress campaign. While nothing has been guaranteed, team lead Keith Lee did tell us the following:
We’re definitely looking into it. Love to get it on there but we don’t want to overextend ourselves right now. If we get more SGs, then we’ll definitely consider it!
Lee later added, “We’ll def think more about Wii U!”
You can check out DUELYST on Kickstarter here. If Nintendo fans show interest, perhaps Counterplay will be further inclined to support Wii U with a stretch goal (or even a Wii U version after the campaign ends).

Two Brothers still coming to Wii U, being worked on by another developer
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 1 Comment
Two Brothers has been out on PC for some time, but AckkStudios hasn’t said much about the Wii U version as of late. No need to worry though: the game is still coming to Nintendo’s console.
On Twitter earlier today, AckkStudios confirmed that Two Brothers is still in the works for Wii U. Keep in mind that it’s being worked on by “another developer” who apparently handles Wii U ports quite well.
@MirbyStudios not at all!! It's being ported by another developer who is really good at wii u ports. Ensuring it gets the love it deserves.
