Downloads of Denpa Ningen no RPG Free have surpassed 500,000 in Japan, developer Genius Sonority has revealed. The game launched as free-to-play software in Japan.

Genius Sonority thanked players on Denpa Ningen no RPG Free’s Twitter account. A commemorative event will be held between September 3 and September 9 to celebrate today’s news.

Koei Tecmo is preparing a Premium Box for the release of Samurai Warriors Chronicle 3 in Japan. The package includes a copy of the game, postcards, art book, and a character soundtrack CD. Pricing is set at 8,800 yen.

It’s looking like the New 3DS won’t be heading west for awhile. While the system is heading to Japan on October 11 – less than two months – North America and Europe won’t be seeing it until 2015.

Thankfully, there are ways to purchase the New 3DS even if you’re not in Japan. Playasia has now opened pre-orders at the following links:

Of course, since these are Japanese systems, they will only play Japanese games. But if you’re like me, you might be pretty tempted to pick up a New 3DS at launch…

It’s time for the latest Famitsu’s most wanted games chart! Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, Persona 5, Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, Final Fantasy XV, and Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire are all in the top five.

The next Cooking Mama has been announced for 3DS, and it’s coming to Japan in just a few months.

As the title suggests, Cooking Mama: My Sweets Shop has players working in a sweets shop and serving customers. There are 60 different types of sweets, though players can also make variations according to their liking. Sweets can be decorated with different combinations as well. In addition to making sweets, you can also arrange them in the shop.

Cooking Mama: My Sweets Shop launches in Japan on November 6 for 4,968 yen. Those who play the game at the Tokyo Game Show can receive an A5 size sticker present.

Nintendo announced a pair of special New 3DS bundles earlier today that we wanted to bring to your attention.

The first is Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. Capcom’s new game will launch simultaneously with New 3DS on October 11. The bundle will cost 25,600 yen.

Another bundle confirmed by Nintendo is Smash Bros. It comes with a New 3DS XL model and will be available in November.
