Forbidden Magna details

Posted on 10 years ago by (@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments

Marvelous published a new round of Forbidden Magna details today covering four main points of the game. You can find the latest content below.

Point #1: Maid-In System

During “Inn Parts,” you can enjoy conversations and events with the spirits you’ve befriended that work at the inn as live-in maids.

Point #2: CLT System

“Battle Parts” use the ‘Connect Lead Time System,” which is a speedy action game-like turn-based battle system. The spirits are experts of battle. Each character’s attack range and movement distance varies. As such, it’s up to you to come up with the best positions so they can sweep up lots of enemies in one fell swoop!

Point #3: In-Game Animation

The story’s more important scenes are depicted via animated cutscenes, with colorful voice actors on hand to help bring the game’s charm to life.

Point #4: ETR System

Players will find a lot of options at their disposal when it comes to forging stronger bonds with spirits, including the ETR system in battles and various special events. One example of where these dynamics come into play involves Charlotte, who might be dealing with some issues. Why not talk it out, just the two of you?

Bravely Default just hit the West earlier this year but it was actually an updated version of the original Bravely Default and was known in Japan as Bravely Default: For the Sequel. This updated version is getting a reprint in Japan under Square Enix’s “Greatest Hits” label and has the option for English, French, German, Italian and Spanish text in addition to the native Japanese.

Mario Kart 8 is off to a solid start in Japan. Nintendo’s racer sold 326,000 copies in its first week, with a 80.9 percent sell-through rate. While this is a bit less than Mario Kart 7 (420,000 units), sales tracker Media Create mentions that this could be due to the timing of release and the number of hardware units sold prior.

Mario Kart 8 experienced the best opening week of any Wii U game in Japan thus far by a significant margin. It surpassed New Super Mario Bros. U, which sold 164,000 units in its first week.

With Mario Kart 8’s launch, the Wii U sold about 20,000 units. That’s quite a bit more than the 9,000 units it sold the week prior, though it’s not the massive boost that some may have hoped for. Still, Mario Kart 8’s launch week was the first time Wii U was in the top spot since the console released with major titles. Media Create mentions that although Nintendo tends to release good titles throughout the year, new users might not be drawn to the Wii U until after summer vacation.
