Monolith Soft

Audio shouldn’t be an issue when playing through Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Those with early access to the game have confirmed that Monolith Soft has included a plethora of volume options. Players can modify the volume for cut-scene voices, game background music, game sound effects, game voices, battle narration, environment volume, and system volume.

It’s worth pointing out these options since the audio in Xenoblade Chronicles X was a common complaint. The Wii U RPG didn’t offer much in the way of tuning volume to your liking. This was an issue throughout the game. As one example, music during cut-scenes sometimes made it difficult to hear what characters were saying.

Another Xenoblade Chronicles 2 rare blade has been shown off on Twitter, Kasane. Kasane is designed by Shirabii and voiced by Inori Minase. You can check out the rare blade down below.

Nintendo and Monolith Soft has kicked off a new “Production Notes” series of features for Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The first entry published in English today is dedicated to the story.

In the piece, screenwriter Yuichiro Takeda talks about how the story’s creation was a joint effort from himself, Kazuho Hyodo, and director Tetsuya Takahashi. Takeda was in charge of even chapters whereas Takeda worked on the odd ones. Takahashi handled the story itself. Takeda also says that Xenoblade Chronicles 2’s story has Takahashi’s most flair to date.

Nintendo is back again with another UK commercial for Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It’s the same sort of ad we’ve seen in Japan, but with English voices. Watch it below.

Nintendo has released a brief 30 second trailer / commercial for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 titled “Let’s go to Elysium”, which you can watch below. This is actually an English version of a Japanese commercial we posted about two weeks ago.

We have two rare blades to show of for this Xenoblade Chronicles 2 update, the first being Wadatsumi designed by Kozaki Yuusuke. Wadatsumi is voiced by Shuuichi Ikeda. Menou is the second blade to be shown off and she too is designed by Kozaki Yuusuke. Menou is voiced by Atsumi Tanezaki. You can check the both out down below.

All copies of the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Special Edition (Collector’s Edition in Europe) come with a special sound-selection CD. Nintendo provided more information on what to expect from the bonus item today.

The sound-selection CD should have 13 tracks. We say “should” because this news was specific to Japan, but we can’t see Nintendo making any changes in North America or Europe.
