Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate

When Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate hit the 3DS many people swiftly purchased for themselves a Circle Pad Pro, as the extra analogue stick made navigation in the game much simpler. Third party manufacturer Hori are trying to take this one step further with the Extended Slide Pad controller, creating console like shoulder buttons to make the playing experience closer to a home console. 2 streams of the device will be released, one for the 3DS and one for the XL each for 2 980 yen. An accessory kit is also on the way featuring a cleaning cloth, strap and decal for 2 180 (3DS version) and 2 2280 yen (XL version). Check out the accessories below and let us know what you think!

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and director Kaname Fujioka recently held a stream for the 3DS game. You’ll find more footage above, and a wave of details below.

– Serlegios has golden scales
– Old Desert map features fast dunes and some parts with moving sand that pushes players standing on top
– Oasis area has monsters that go to rest once they get damaged
– The area also has a few palm trees
– You’ll be able to climb up the trees and jump from each one
– Game has an advanced jumping technique where the Charge Axe-wielding Fujioka jumped off the tip of a dune and Tsujimoto managed to Hammer-launch him in mid-air, which resulted in an extra high jump
– The Felyne shows some kind of signal prior to launching the player up to perform an air-attack on Rathalos
– Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate has a feature that lets you set an automatic notice whenever you place a large Barrel Bomb
– This option can also be switched off and on
– Messages can also be set for your deaths

We’ve seen the Japanese boxart for Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. Who’s the monster starring on the cover?

According to this week’s issue of Jump, it’s none other than the Thousand Blade Dragon Selregios. The magazine says that Selregios is a tough winged monster with strong legs, who has golden scales extending from its back and a single long horn protruding from its forehead.

Here’s a look at the items included with the limited edition set of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate in Japan. The set is exclusive to Capcom’s online store. It comes with four action figures and one of three different mini-mascot plushies. Check the images out below!

Capcom announced via 4Gamer today that Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate will be playable at Tokyo Game Show from September 18-21 this year. The scenario available for consumers to try will feature the game’s one of the game’s new enemy bosses.

Capcom unveiled a new field for Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate known as the “Old Desert” at the series’ Hunting Rival event in Akihabara today. Additionally, the company had news to share about new monster subspecies and returning monsters.

– Returning monsters include the Desert Tyrant Flying Wyvern Diablos, the Ultimate Shield Crab Daimyo Hermitaur, the Sand Wyvern Cephadrome, and the One Horned Wyvern Monoblos
– Monster subspecies appearing for the first time include Kechawacha Subseries, Tetsucabra Subspecies, Zamtrios Subspecies, Najarala Subspecies, Seltas Subspecies, Seltas Queen Subspecies, Nerscylla Subspecies

– Hunters and monsters alike have engaged in battle within this vast desert
