Monster Hunter Rise update 10.0.3

Capcom has come out with another update for Monster Hunter Rise, bringing the game to version 10.0.3.

This patch is primarily intended to fix some key bugs following the release of the Sunbreak expansion. There have also been adjustments for monster health as well.

Monster Hunter Rise Elgado Packs items

Capcom is celebrating the latest sales milestone for Monster Hunter Rise with two new item packs – specifically the Elgado Packs.

With the first one, players will receive 10 ancient potions, 20 dango tickets, 20 dash juices, 5 heavy armor spheres and 5 silver eggs. The second one contains 50 mega potions, 30 well-done steaks, 20 large barrel bombs, 10 mega demondrugs and 10 mega armorskins.

Capcom has announced that shipments and digital sales for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak have already surpassed 2 million units globally. This is based on its combined sales for both the Switch and PC versions.

Furthermore, Capcom has also confirmed that the base game, Monster Hunter Rise, has sold over 10 million units globally, a success partially attributed to its series ongoing free updates, PC launch earlier this year and the release of Sunbreak itself. This is following up on prior announcements of the game breaching 8 million units sold in January and 9 million sold in May.

Capcom has shared patch notes for the major 10.0.2 update for Monster Hunter Rise, which is tying in with the release of Sunbreak. It’ll come with new story elements, new system elements, mechanics, tons of adjustments, fixes, and more.

Capcom has debuted two new trailers for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. The first one reveals the return of the fan-favorite Shagaru Magala, Furious Rajang, and a punishing new variant of the flagship monster from Monster Hunter Rise, Scorned Magnamalo. In the second video, we get a look at a new High Rank armor set and weapon trees that can be used to help fledgling hunters forge a path to the exciting new Master Rank content.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak update roadmap

Capcom has provided a first look at its update roadmap for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.

Updates are scheduled for August, this fall, winter, and 2023. With the first one in August, we’ll be seeing Lucent Nargacuga, the Forlorn Arena, rare monster species, and special species monsters. For the fall, Capcom has confirmed rare species monsters, subspecies monsters, and powered-up monsters. This winter will at least bring about several monsters, including special species monsters and powered-up monsters. Specifics have not yet been announced.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is due out for Switch on June 30, 2022.

Capcom just announced that Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is getting a demo. It’ll be available worldwide on June 14, 2022.

In the demo, players can explore the “Jungle” locale and take on Astalos. It also features the new “Switch Skill Swap” system plus new “Skillbind Attacks”. A few tutorial quests are included for new players that teach basic mechanics and moves. Additionally, an “advanced” quest is available for veteran hunters where they can take on an extra challenging version of Malzeno, the flagship monster for Sunbreak.

Last week Capcom shared gameplay footage of their RnD team taking on newly revealed monster Lunagaron in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, with the promise of additional gameplay footage of Seregios to come. That promise has now been fulfilled, as a new video has been uploaded via Twitter, which shows off the returning monster as well as the Gunlance and Great Sword weapons.

Ahead of the release of Monster Hunter Rise’s Sunbreak expansion on June 30, Capcom have shared some new gameplay footage on Twitter of their RnD team tackling one of the new monsters that will feature in the expansion, Lunagaron. The footage showcases the monster’s attacks, as well as gameplay for the Charge Blade and Heavy Bowgun weapons. The tweet promises gameplay footage of Seregios will follow.

Two more weapon trailers have come in from Capcom for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, this time looking at the Dual Blades and Light Bowgun. The Dual Blades gain a fearsome new drill move, and the Light Bowgun gains a new shot that launches you back with a massive recoil for a quick getaway.
