A few weeks ago, we posted about a special Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire pre-order offer from Toys “R” Us. Further details have since come to light.

It turns out that consumers who reserve both games can actually choose between two Charizard plushies: Mega Charizard X or Mega Charizard Y. The Mega Charizard X plush measures 10.5 inches in height whereas the Mega Charizard Y stands at 8 inches. Each one is valued at $22.99 as previously mentioned.

A first look at the Pokemon Global Link for Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire can be found above.

While the aesthetics are the same, new features will be offered such as the ability to upload photos from Pokemon Contests and keeping track of the popular places to build Super Secret Bases. Rating Battle Season 7 will be compatible simultaneously with both Pokemon X/Y and Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire.

Fans should also be aware that there will be several days of downtime prior to the launch of Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire.

Special Edition Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire New 3DS units have been revealed for Japan. There will be two options to choose from: the black New 3DS with Groundon face plates or white New 3DS with Kyogre face plates. Each is priced at 19,000 yen, will be available on November 21, and is being sold exclusively at the Pokemon Center.

The Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire demo, previously confirmed for Japan, has now been announced for the west as well.

Here’s what you should know:

Start your next Hoenn region adventure early with a special demo version of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. This demo features gameplay that you won’t experience anywhere else. During the course of this adventure, you’ll be surprised to encounter familiar Pokémon that can now Mega Evolve! What’s more, you can bring this Pokémon into your full Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire game.
