Pokemon Omega Ruby

Game Informer recently caught up with Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire producer Junichi Masuda and director Shigeru Ohmori. The two were touched on slew of different topics, including the lack of Pokemon games on the 3DS Virtual Console, how Pokemon are chosen for Smash Bros. the possibility of revisiting the idea of extensions for previously-released titles, and more.

Legendary Pokémon Latios and Latias Mega Evolve and Help Trainers Navigate the Hoenn Region by Air, Special Demo Version Details, New Mega-Evolved Pokémon, and Gameplay Features Revealed

LONDON, United Kingdom.—14 October 2014— Today, The Pokémon Company International and Nintendo announced that the Legendary Pokémon Latios can be obtained in Pokémon Omega Ruby, while Latias can be obtained in Pokémon Alpha Sapphire when the titles launch 28 November 2014 for Nintendo 3DS and 2DS systems. These high-flying Dragon- and Psychic-type Pokémon can Mega Evolve and fly freely through the skies of the Hoenn region. Trainers can hop on the back of their Mega Latios or Mega Latias and navigate the region through the air at high speed while performing midair tricks and hairpin turns. This brand-new method of travel, called Soar, takes a player’s Pokémon adventure to new heights and provides access to Mirage spots, where rare Pokémon—including Legendary Pokémon—and valuable items may appear.

It was also revealed today that Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire players will be able to obtain the Eon Ticket later this year, granting them access to the Hoenn region’s Southern Island, where they can encounter and catch Latias in Pokémon Omega Ruby or Latios in Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. This is the only way players can catch these Legendary Pokémon in-game, as they cannot be caught during normal gameplay. More details about when and how players can obtain the Eon Ticket will be announced later this year.

Another two Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire scans have surfaced from this month’s CoroCoro. One of the main highlights is the new PokeNav, which is known as the “MultiNavi”.

MultiNavi provides four settings: MapNavi, TVNavi, PlayNavi, and DexNavi. PlayNavi includes features like Pokemon Amie and the GTS while DexNavi helps you find Pokemon in the wild and register them in your Pokedex.

In Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, players will be able to sneak up on Pokemon. Pokemon encountered in the overworld can also be registered in the Pokedex.

Images from this month’s CoroCoro have now emerged showing the new Mega Evolutions for Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire. We get a look at Mega Beedrill, Mega Pidgeot, Mega Latios and Mega Latias.

CoroCoro also shares the following details:

– Mega Pidgeot is Normal/Flying-type with the ability No Guard
– Mega Beedrill is Bug/Poison-type with the ability Adaptability
– Can fly on Mega Latios and Latias in the overworld and find Pokémon such as Reshiram, Zekrom, Dialga & Palkia in the sky
– Latios is exclusive to Omega Ruby and Latias is exclusive to Alpha Sapphire
– The Eon Ticket is said to return through a special distribution
– The Legendary Pokémon are found on islands that can only be found through areas on the sky
– You access the sky through the Eon Flute item
