With the holiday shopping season fast approaching, retailers are starting to launch some notable deals for video games. Best Buy and Target both have sales this week that are worth paying attention to.

First, over on Best Buy, there’s a buy 1, get 1 50% off deal on 3DS games published by Nintendo. This currently includes Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, Fantasy Life, and more. You can check out the full lineup of titles here.

Target’s buy 2, get 1 free sale on all video games is now live as well. All systems are included – Wii U, Wii, 3DS, and DS. Check out this page for all eligible games.

Sonic Lost World and One Piece: Unlimited World Red have both received price cuts on the eShop. The former title is now available for $29.95 on both Wii U and 3DS. Meanwhile, the Wii U version of One Piece: Unlimited World Red has been dropped to $39.99.

Wii U deals are still appearing regularly these days – even ahead of Black Friday. The latest offer comes from Buy via eBay.

Consumers can purchase the Super Mario 3D World bundle, which includes Nintendo Land, for only $270. Free shipping is also included.

We still have about a month to go before the holiday shopping season, but retailers are getting started early with deals – including video game offers.

Walmart, for example, has a few deals running on November 3 that would normally be reserved for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Consumers will be able to purchase a 2DS system for only $79 this coming Monday. Head on over to Walmart.com shortly after midnight Pacific Time to participate in the sale.

2DS systems are normally priced at $129.99. However, retailers have regularly discounted the handheld to $100 in recent months.

Target’s annual “buy 2, get 1 free” sale on video games will be taking place early next month. This offer will be valid starting on November 9.

A snapshot of Target’s upcoming ad indicates that all video games will be eligible for the deal. The sale will last through November 15.

If you’re planning on purchasing 3DS games anytime soon, you may want to hold off until November. That’s because Best Buy will be holding a “buy 1, get 1 50% off” sale starting November 9 lasting through the entire week.

Pricing for the two titles are as follows:
