Japan’s best-selling games of April 2016

The latest issue of Famitsu has shared a listing of the top 30 best-selling games in Japan for the month of April 2016. You can check out the full results below.
Toys-to-life sales in the UK are down 12% thus far in 2016

In the UK, 2015 was a rather good year for the toys-to-market market. £129 million was generated from related games and figurines.
2016 is a different story, at least thus far. The toys-to-life market, comprised of Skylanders, Disney Infinity, amiibo, and LEGO Dimensions has seen a 12.1 percent dip in revenue year-over-year. Keep in mind that LEGO Dimensions had not yet shipped at this time last year. The decline can be partially attributed to retailers providing heavy discounts on toys-to-life products.

Azure Striker Gunvolt tops 160,000 downloads on 3DS

Azure Striker Gunvolt has managed to reach another sales milestone. Through Twitter, Inti Creates announced that the game’s downloads are past the 160,000 mark on 3DS. The news was celebrated with a special piece of art, pictured above.
Inti Creates has been announcing sales milestones for Azure Striker Gunvolt at 10,000 intervals. The most recent accomplishment was in March, when the game topped 150,000 downloads.
