Media Create has shared a little extra additional information about Fire Emblem Fates’ debut sales in Japan.

As mentioned earlier this week, the game managed to sell over 300,000 units. Birthright sold a bit more out of the two versions, with Media Create reporting that it moved 154,000 copies. On the other hand, Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest sold 107,000 units. The Fire Emblem Fates Special Edition chipped in with another 43,000 copies.

Fire Emblem Fates managed to outdo its predecessor, Fire Emblem: Awakening, in terms of first week sales – 304,000 units vs. 243,000 units. It’s also worth mentioning that lifetime sales of Awakening in Japan are at 492,000 copies sold.

Media Create didn’t provide a sell-through rate for Fire Emblem Fates, but Dengeki has come through with that information. According to the site, visible buzz surrounding the game allowed it to sell through 90 percent of its initial stock.

Nintendo announced last week that, since launch, Splatoon has sold over one million copies worldwide. The game’s success is something that surprised the company.

Speaking at Nintendo’s latest shareholders meeting, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said:

As some of you may have seen the TV commercials we have been airing recently, “Splatoon” is a brand-new title and not a title from an established series. It has a very unique and fantasy-like setting. This game, inspired by squid squirting out ink, is played by human-shaped characters with squid-like features shooting, instead of squirting, ink at each other, and the team that paints the widest area in its team color wins. Having received high recognition from our consumers for its novelty, this title’s sell-through sales reached 1 million units in less than a month from its release. We feel very grateful for this, since our view was not so optimistic prior to release, for it being a non-series title.

Data sent out by Media Create today reveals that Fire Emblem Fates sold 303,666 copies in its first week. The game managed to outdo the series’ previous entry, Fire Emblem: Awakening. When Awakening shipped in 2012, it sold 242,600 units in its first few days on the market.

Return to PopoloCrois: A Story of Seasons Fairytale was the best-selling game in Japan for the week of June 15. In Media Create‘s latest report, the sales tracker shares more information about the game’s performance.

Return to PopoloCrois: A Story of Seasons Fairytale managed to sell 46,000 copies in its first week. With that, it sold through 58.99 percent of its initial shipment.

When compared to previous Harvest Moon (Bokuj? Monogatari) games on 3DS, the first week sell-through was lower and the game got off to a slow start. Harvest Moon: A New Beginning had a 74.23 percent sell-through rate and sold 81,000 copies in its first week in 2012 while Story of Seasons had a 73.07 percent sell-through rate with 131,000 copies sold in its first week in 2014. As Return to PopoloCrois: A Story of Seasons Fairytale is strongly derived from the PopoloCrois series, it can be said that the game hasn’t brought in many Harvest Moon fans yet.

During a session at Too Many Games, Inti Creates announced that Azure Striker Gunvolt has seen over 120,000 downloads. The most recent milestone of 110,000 downloads was confirmed in late April.

Inti Creates also said that the company currently consists of roughly 100 staffers. The Azure Striker Gunvolt team is made up of about 40 people.
