Square Enix and Taito will be bringing train operator simulation game Densha de GO!! Hashirou Yamanote Sen to the Nintendo Switch. The game releases on PS4 on December 3 in Japan for 7,800 yen, but no word on a date and price for the Switch version. Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory dev on why the game is coming to Switch

In an interview with Ntower, Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory co-director Masanobu Suzui spoke about why the game will be released on Switch.
Suzui started out by mentioning franchise director Tetsuya Nomura’s interest in the system. Since Switch is very popular around the world currently with a big install base, that was another important factory. Ultimately the team wanted as many people as possible to experience the music of Kingdom Hearts.

Square Enix will finally be bringing a Kingdom Hearts game to Switch this year, but perhaps not in the way that fans had hoped. Rather than releasing one of the core past titles, we’re instead getting Melody of Memory – a rhythm action spinoff.
Unfortunately, Square Enix isn’t planning any other Kingdom Hearts games for Switch at the moment. Franchise director Tetsuya Nomura told Nintendo Enthusiast that the company considered porting other entries in the series, but found things to be technologically difficult.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition director apologizes for issues, update plans detailed

Square Enix has shared a message from Araki Ryoma, the director of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition.
The game experienced significant online play issues at launch, which apparently happened due to servers exceeding their capacity. Maintenance on August 29 “has led to comparatively stable running thereafter.”
Ryoma has also shared details on update plans. A couple of issues will be addressed soon and the host for online sessions will be able to skip boss introduction cut scenes and myrrh drop scenes.

Square Enix – TGS lineup and schedule announced

Square Enix has released their featured games along with a schedule for Tokyo Game Show 2020. TGS 2020 will be online this year, and runs September 24 to 27. Square Enix will be seeing a large amount of features this year, including several mobile titles and a heck of a lot of Dragon Quest. Switch titles like Collection of Saga: Final Fantasy Legend, Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory, and other Japan exclusive games will see the spotlight. There was plenty of news for Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory this week. Aside from a concrete release date, a new trailer was shared as well.
