Paper Mario: The Origami King spirits are on the way to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Nintendo has announced. Three spirits will appear, all of which are pictured above.
The new event goes live in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on August 28. This time around, it’ll last for a total of five days.

Nintendo has announced a new tournament event for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. For the theme this week, it’s all about royalty. Players can only use characters that are of royalty (or are connected to them). Only castle stages will be featured as well.
The new Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament goes live on August 21. It’ll last for a total of three days.

Nintendo has announced the latest Spirit Board event for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. This time around, the Weaken Minions item will be featured. Those that win battles can receive this item, and the SP you receive will be tripled.
The new Spirit Board event kicks off on August 14. Just like in the past, it’ll last for a total of three days.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate player linkendophoenix has discovered a new glitch following version 8.1.0 that can cause crashing issues. It seems that a brief series of steps involving choosing a stage – in conjunction with playing around with music selection – causes something that game can’t currently handle.

The developers of Overwatch have weighed in on the characters they’d like to see join the Smash Bros. roster.
During a Reddit AMA yesterday, director Jeff Kaplan and lead hero designer Geoff Goodman were asked about which characters from Blizzard’s team-based shooter they’d like to see join the game. Kaplan pointed to Tracer while Goodman went with Doomfist.

Later this week, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be hosting its latest Spirit Board event. Blue spirits will be featured, and by defeating them, you can earn more gold than you normally would.
The latest Smash Bros. Ultimate Spirit Board event goes live on July 31. Just like previous ones, it’ll last for three days.
