The big Pirate Queen’s Quest DLC for Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is just on the horizon. It’ll be out on August 29, WayForward has announced.

The studio wrote in a brief tweet:


Pirate Queen’s Quest will be free to Kickstarter backers. WayForward will also offer the DLC as paid content.

WayForward posted a big update about Shantae: Half-Genie Hero on Kickstarter yesterday. The studio offered some news about the game’s upcoming DLC.

First, Pirate Queen’s Quest is finished. The Risky Boots DLC has been submitted to Nintendo, so the release date shouldn’t be far away. The DLC is free for backers, and WayForward wants those who supported the project to be in a position to play Pirate Queen’s Quest early.

In Japan, Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star has received a limited edition on Switch. It features a copy of the game, an Aruko Wada-designed special box, and a Nero Travel Pouch. The full contents are unboxed in the video below.
