Four new weapons coming to Splatoon 2 tomorrow

Splatoon 2’s big 3.0.0 update is launching tomorrow. Alongside the many changes and Camp Triggerfish, four new weapons will also be available tomorrow. All of them of variants of existing weapons with different sub-weapons and specials. The four loadouts are as follows:
- Neo Splash-o-matic: Burst Bomb & Suction Bomb Launcher
- Foil Squeezer: Splat Bomb & Bubble Blower
- New Squiffer: Autobomb & Baller
- Glooga Dualies Deco: Splash Wall & Baller

SaGa: Scarlet Grace for Switch launches on August 2nd in Japan

SaGa: Scarlet Grace was announced for the Switch in the Nintendo Direct last month. Now, we have a concrete release date for the game – August 2nd. This is only for Japan though, as a localization has not been announced so far.

State of Mind launching in August; new teaser trailer & Switch box art

We’ve known for a while now that Daedalic Entertainment’s futuristic adventure game State of Mind would be coming to the Nintendo Switch. Today, the developer announced that the game will finally be released in August 2018. They also confirmed that the game is getting a physical release, as you can see by the game’s boxart above. BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle getting an open beta & demo version in Japan in May

Arc System Works announced today that they will be conducting an open beta test for BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle in Japan next month. The test will take place from May 11th to May 13th. To take part, you will need to download a special demo version of the game that’ll be available on the Japanese eShop starting on May 11th. During the open beta, you will be able to use all of the game’s non-DLC characters. The following modes will be playable: Casual Lobby, Tactics Mode and Versus Mode (against CPU).
Even after the open beta period is over, you will still be able to play the demo version – with some restrictions: you won’t be able to use all of the characters and you will only be able to play offline.
Splatoon 2: Custom Range Blaster being added to the game soon

It’s the end of week, which means another new weapon is coming to Splatoon 2. The Custom Range Blaster is identical to the regular Range Blaster in terms of stats, but comes with the Curling Bomb sub-weapon and the Bubble Blower special instead. It’ll be available tomorrow around noon in Japan and Australia, early in the morning in Europe and later tonight in North America.

Dragon Quest Builders 2: a few more story and gameplay details

The latest issue of Weekly Jump magazine contained some new information on Dragon Quest Builders 2 (thanks to Gematsu for the translation). First up, some details on the game’s story: when the protagonist is washed ashore on the vacant island where the game takes place, they hear a mysterious voice telling them to go to the top of the island’s mountain. There, they find a mysterious stone monument bearing five crests. There are also numerous stone pillars on the island which are engraved with trials, which the protagonist must pass if they want to become a “Master Builder”.
There are also some new and improved gameplay elements compared to the first game, such as diving, gliding with the wind mantle, dashing, waterfalls and making diagonally-shaped blocks.

Yesterday, we reported that the music production software KORG Gadget would launch next week in Japan. The North American release date was confirmed today – it will also launch next week, on April 26. It’ll be digital-only and cost $48.
