The Last Shot

Sometimes You, in partnership with Rumata Lab, today announced plans for a Switch version of The Last Shot. It’s slated for September 18, 2024.

The Last Shot is an adventure platformer set in a war-ravaged diesel-punk world. Players will go on a journey to save their friends, family, and city by getting to the bottom of a terrible conspiracy.

No Man's Sky Aquarius update

No Man’s Sky continues to receive big updates, and the next one known as “Aquarius” has now been announced. It should be rolling out soon on Switch.

Today’s update is highlighted by the addition of fishing. There’s a lot here between various types to catch, the deployable Exo-Skiff, finding messages in bottles, and more.

Minecraft movie release date

The long talked about Minecraft movie now has a release date. The film is coming to theaters on April 4, 2025.

The Minecraft movie will feature talent from a number of stars. Jack Black, Jason Momoa, Kate McKinnon, Danielle Brooks, Jennifer Coolidge, Emma Myers, and Jemaine Clement are included in the lineup. Jared Hess, who previously worked on Napoleon Dynamite, is directing.

Mortal Kombat 1 Sektor

Mortal Kombat 1 received its latest trailer that gives a look at upcoming DLC character Sektor. Sektor is one of the character in the Khaos Reigns expansion and will be offered in Kombat Pack 2.

Square Enix TGS 2024 games

Square Enix today announced its lineup for the 2024 Tokyo Game Show.

A few different Switch games will be on hand, including Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince, Fantasian Neo Dimension, Life is Strange: Double Exposure, PowerWash Simulator, and Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven. Final Fantasy XIV, Final Fantasy XVI, and Visions of Mana will also be featured.

Nour Play With Your Food gameplay

Coming off its recent Switch launch, a good chunk of gameplay is in for Nour: Play With Your Food. 15 minutes of footage highlights the experimental food art title.

Tracks Toybox Edition update 1.7

Tracks: Toybox Edition came to Switch a few years ago, but it just received a pretty big version 1.7 update.

Described as a quality of life patch, a number of improvements have been added. The game now features autosave and quicksave support, toybox enhancements, and even Brazilian Portuguese. There are other aspects as well like bug fixes.

Road Defense: Outsiders

QUByte Interactive is publishing Road Defense: Outsiders on Switch next week, the company announced today. It will be available on September 12, 2024.

Road Defense: Outsiders features a mix of roguelike and tower defense gameplay. Players will upgrade towers and skills throughout the experience.

Bakeru makes its debut outside of Japan today, and to celebrate, Spike Chunsoft readied a launch trailer. This new title from from Good-Feel, who most recently made Princess Peach: Showtime on Switch.

Astroneer Glitchwalkers DLC

Astroneer has received a number of free updates previously, but the game is now getting its first-paid DLC titled Glitchwalkers. It will be available later in 2024.

Glitchwalkers is highlighted by Aeoluz as a new planet. Here players can explore new surface and cave biomes, access new tech tree and modules, and more.
