Endless Memories

Clickteam will publish Homunculus Games’ action adventure title Endless Memories on Switch, the company has announced. A release is planned for October 7, 2022.

Endless Memories originally debuted on PC in 2020. Fans helped fund the game on Kickstarter at the end of 2019.

Splatoon 3 has taken the crown as Japan’s fastest-selling game of all time.

That news follows Nintendo’s announcement earlier today that the title has sold 3.45 million copies in the region in just three days. The company said this is the highest domestic sales level for any Switch game within that time period, but we now know that applies to all platforms as well.

Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3 trailer

The first trailer for Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway is now in. It shows off some of the game’s playable characters, tracks, customization elements, and more.

Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway was announced for Switch in July. First screenshots leaked last month.

Pokemon Sword Shield Shiny Eternatus GameStop

The Pokemon Company has revealed a new Shiny Eternatus distribution for Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield, which will be held at GameStop in the US and Canada. Those in Australia and New Zealand can participate by visiting EB Games.

Players can visit these participating retailers to pick up a special code card that will let you receive the Legendary Poison- and Dragon-type Pokemon. It comes in at level 100, has a Timid Nature, and makes use of the Pressure Ability. Its moves include Dynamax Cannon, Eternabeam, Sludge Bomb, and Flamethrower.

Camped Out

Today, INCA Studios announced that its debut title Camped Out will be releasing on Switch this month. Its launch is scheduled for September 22, 2022.

Camped Out is a frenetic couch co-op game  in which up to four players must work together to set up camp before darkness falls. Read more about it below.

Nintendo UK has opted not to live stream tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct due to “period of national mourning”, the company has said.

Last week, Queen Elizabeth II passed away, and the news has quickly become a worldwide news event. However, it has had the biggest impact in the UK.

Loop8: Summer of Gods

XSEED Games announced today that it intends to localize Loop8: Summer of Gods for English fans in the west. In North America and Europe, the game will be launching in Spring 2023.

Nintendo Direct September 2022

A new Nintendo Direct will air tomorrow, September 13, Nintendo just announced. The presentation will be held at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET / 3 PM in the UK / 4 PM in Europe.

Nintendo says that the Nintendo Direct will mainly focus on Switch games launching this winter. It’ll be about 40 minutes long.

Sonic Frontiers fishing Big the Cat

Back when we published our Sonic Frontiers hands-on preview a few months ago, we noted that the title would include a fishing mini-game. An off-screen video has now surfaced that provides a bit of footage, including a look at Big the Cat who we haven’t seen until now.

It’s assumed that the video was recorded at Gamescom 2022 last month. Sonic Frontiers was playable at an expo for the first time, giving many fans a hands-on opportunity. 

Splatoon 3

This week’s UK software sales are in, with Splatoon 3 topping the chart in its first week.

This marks the first game in the series to hit that mark. Splatoon and Splatoon 2 both debuted at #2. Launch sales for Splatoon 3 actually saw a 9 percent dip compared to the previous title, but keep in mind that digital sales are not factored in here. Splatoon 3 is the 21st best week one on Switch when it comes to games sold (as opposed to revenue), just behind Splatoon 2.
