Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunion name

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion creative producer Tetsuya Nomura has explained the game’s name in an interview with Everyeye.

Obviously the title is extremely similar to the original, but now has the added “Reunion” bit. According to Nomura, “Reunion” has important meaning when it comes to Final Fantasy VII’s lore and it’s a way of connecting it with Crisis Core. The term is also being used to help describe what the game is given how it’s not clearly a remake or a remaster – it’s more of a middle ground. 

In an email sent to customers in Japan, Nintendo shared a message from Monolith Soft’s Tetsuya Takahashi, the senior director of Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

We’ve translated the full note below, which includes another tease about plans for the future. There’s just a slight story spoiler about the overall series, so keep that in mind before proceeding.

The Risk and Reward summoning event was announced for Fire Emblem Heroes during the latest Feh Channel presentation, and a trailer has now shown it off.

QUByte Classics: Thunderbolt Collection gameplay

Sonic Origins update 1.4.0

Original (8/5): SEGA has gone live with a new 1.4.0 update for Sonic Origins on Switch.

While no one will deny that the games included in the collection are classics, the package itself had a number of issues. We’re talking bugs, issues that impacted the gameplay, and problems with the presentation. Some of these aspects have now been addressed.

South of the Circle trailer

South of the Circle has officially come to Switch, and to celebrate, the title has received a launch trailer. Fans can get another look at the narrative experience from 11 bit studios and State of Play.

In a recent news post sent out to Switch owners, Nintendo provided a listing of the top 15 European eShop downloads for July 2022.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 launched at the very end of the month, but still managed to crack the top five. Digimon Survive, which released on the same day, also appears at the very last spot.

Tiny Troopers Global Ops physical

A physical release of Tiny Troopers: Global Ops is in the cards for Switch, it’s been announced.

Limited Run Games will be releasing the game as part of its distribution line with an exclusive variant cover, and it’ll also come with an EP download and sticker sheet. Note that retailers like Amazon and GameStop will also be selling a physical version as a standalone copy.

Tiny Troopers: Global Ops was announced for Switch in 2021, and was originally planned to launch later in the year. Wired Productions and Epiphany Games have not shared an updated release window.
