Ila: A Frosty Glide

Ila: A Frosty Glide is now confirmed for release on Nintendo Switch. The game recently came to Kickstarter where it now only met its funding target, but a stretch goal for the console as well.

As for the game, Ila: A Frosty Glide is an exploration adventure platformer. The experience revolves around playing as a young witch-in-training who’s on a quest to find her lost kitty. Reaching the summit appears to be the end goal, and to do so, you’ll need to use your skatebroom and improve your magic and flying abilities.

YTASH: A Nocturnal Poem

July 17: Sunnyside Games today announced Nocturnal 2, a direct sequel to the original game. Switch will be getting it in 2025.

Nocturnal 2 is a fast-paced, juggle-based 2D Metroidvania game. Players will explore the dark depths and towering heights of a forgotten island that consumed itself long ago.

Nintendo lawsuit Dstorage

Today, Nintendo announced that it picked up a win against Dstorage, which operated 1fichier.com”.

The company says that the French sharehoster did not remove or block access to pirated games on 1fichier.com. Nintendo provided multiple notifications, but no action was taken.


Elsie physical

Elsie, which was previously sold digitally on Nintendo Switch, is now getting a physical release. Meridiem will handle distribution across European specialist stores on May 22, 2025. Those in North America will be able to import.

Elsie will have a special Magitek Edition. Copies include the game, a special case, a sticker sheet, and a character book.

Smash Bros Satoru Iwata Masahiro Sakurai

Masahiro Sakurai and Satoru Iwata had a close relationship over the years, and now Sakurai has spoken more about in a recent interview. As part of that, we get to hear more about how Nintendo’s late president impacted Super Smash Bros.

Sakurai, who’s the director of the series, attributed the existence of Smash Bros. to Iwata given that he worked on the original prototype. Plus, Iwata still wanted Sakurai on board with the franchise after he left HAL Laboratory. Sakurai noted that if he wasn’t asked to work on Smash Bros. following Melee, the series could have died out.

Go Fight Fantastic

Kinda Brave and Dinomite Games passed along the word that Go Fight Fantastic is landing on Nintendo Switch this week. A release is scheduled for March 6, 2025.

Go Fight Fantastic, which originally came to PC, is now jumping to consoles. The game is a hack-and-slash title featuring a crew of interstellar smugglers, led by their space-dog captain Bowie. Up to three players are supported.

Wind Story

BluSped Studio today announced that its new game Wind Story is releasing very soon on Nintendo Switch. Fans can pick it up on April 10, 2025.

Wind Story is a pixel-style simulation RPG. Players can look forward to farming, animal breeding, fishing, and establishing facilities – including an amusement park.

Today, SpecNext announced that it’s working on a brand new remake of Head Over Heels with a Deluxe version coming to Nintendo Switch. It will be available later this year.

Head Over Heels, a puzzle -platforming adventure, originally released on the ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, and Amstrad CPC in 1987. This new version features a new soundtrack, an additional area with new enemies and objects, and more.
