Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

As mentioned just a short while ago, Nintendo has provided a new 9.0.1 update for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Today’s adjustments center around Minecraft DLC character Steve/Alex.

Original: Nintendo announced a new 9.0.1 update for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate yesterday, and it has now gone live. All players can access today’s patch now.

We’re still waiting on today’s patch notes, but today’s adjustments pretty much all come down to the game’s newest DLC character, Steve/Alex. Among them is a change in one of the fighter’s win screens. There’s been a lot of talk about it being a bit suggestive, so Nintendo decided to implement a change.

Spooky Squid Games’ action platformer They Bleed Pixels lands on Switch tomorrow. For a look at some footage, check out the video below.

They Bleed Pixels will be distributed digitally for Switch via the eShop.

Luna The Shadow Dust

Luna The Shadow Dust, a hand-animated point-and-click adventure game, will be reaching Switch tomorrow. Find some footage in the video below.

Pokemon Sword/Shield

The saga of Nintendo leaks has been ongoing for several months now, and a new development has apparently taken place with the latest Pokemon entries – Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. We’re hearing reports that debug files are starting to spread online.

The full contents of these files will be parsed through in the coming days. Nothing overly interesting has come to light thus far, but early screenshots have been posted online, which are worth a look alone.

Super Meat Boy Forever

As part of a live stream yesterday, Team Meat showed off a ton of new footage from Super Meat Boy Forever. The full recording can be found below.

Super Meat Boy Forever has been in the works for a few years now, and after a fairly lengthy wait, its release doesn’t appear to be too far off. Team Meat co-founder and creative director Tommy Refenes says that the game is just a few weeks away from being submitted to Nintendo. Once it’s approved, we should be finding out about when it’ll be available.

Immortals Fenyx Rising

Ubisoft is looking to make all of its future games supported by cross-play and cross-progression. Ubisoft Connect, the company’s new “ecosystem of players services for all Ubisoft games across all platforms”, will support the functionality.

The Outer Worlds

The Outer Worlds’ long-awaited update is finally live on Switch. Version 1.2 is out now, which includes a number of improvements, changes, and fixes.

Gametopia has confirmed that Verne: The Shape of Fantasy, its pixel art narrative experience, is currently being planned for Switch. If all goes well, the title will arrive sometime in 2021.

Kirby Fighters 2

Nintendo and HAL Laboratory recently brought Kirby Fighters 2 to Switch, but if you haven’t purchased the game yet, you can still give it a shot. That’s because a new demo is now available worldwide – simply visit the eShop for access.
