Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is off to a pretty good start in Japan. As reported by Famitsu a couple of days ago, the game sold about 91,000 units in its first week. That actually makes it the series’ second-highest debut to date.

Here’s a breakdown of first week sales for all of the Xenoblade releases in Japan:

Pew Paw

The twin-stick shooter Pew Paw will appear on Switch next week, Drageus Games has announced. It will be distributed via the eShop on June 12.

Effie 

Inverge Studios’ 3D action-adventure game Effie is coming to Switch, the developer revealed today. The studio is teaming up with Klabater to make the port possible.

Indie Live Expo II

The first ever Indie Live Expo was held earlier today. It featured tons of news about upcoming games, messages from developers, and more.

It looks like this presentation won’t just be a one-time thing. At the end of today’s event, a logo appeared for Indie Live Expo II. We know that the next broadcast will be held on November 7, but nothing beyond that.

Today’s Indie Live Expo included a number of announcements for Switch, including the reveal of COGEN: Sword of Rewind.

BioShock: The Collection

BioShock, BioShock 2, and BioShock Infinite found their way to Switch last week. Digital Foundry has examined all three in greater detail from a technical perspective, and it looks like Virtuos / Blind Squirrel churned out fine ports for each.

COGEN: Sword of Rewind

Gemdrops has announced COGEN: Sword of Rewind, a side-scrolling action-platformer. As given away by the title, one of the main mechanics involves the ability to rewind time.

We don’t have a whole lot of information about COGEN: Sword of Rewind so far, but Gemdrops did share a trailer today. We’ve included that new video below.

Quantum Suicide

Cotton Candy Cyanide is bringing its space-based visual novel Quantum Suicide to Switch, the developer announced today. A release window has not yet been confirmed.

Project Starship X

Panda Indie Studio has confirmed that its rogue-lite shooter Project Starship X will be available on Switch in the future. It will initially debut on Steam this month, followed by a release on Nintendo’s console later on.

Derpy Conga

The physics-based puzzle-platformer Derpy Conga is coming to Switch, developer Giant Door has announced. We’ll be seeing the game sometime in 2021.

SuchArt!

SuchArt!, a painting sim game from developer Voolgi, was announced for Switch today during the Indie Live Expo 2020 broadcast. It’s currently targeting a Fall 2020 launch.
