Update (6/9): The July 9 release date has been officially announced, which applies to all regions.
Original (6/8): Switch owners have been waiting for CrossCode since January 2019. The action-RPG was announced during one of Nintendo’s indie presentations, but it still has yet to release. It appears that will finally be changing next month.
Dangen Entertainment, the company publishing CrossCode in Japan, just posted a trailer for the game that shows a July 9 release date. Presumably that news applies to all regions, though we should be getting the final confirmation tomorrow. It was mentioned a few days ago that an official release date would be shared this week.

According to Nintendo, 140,000 additional accounts may have been hacked. That brings the overall total to 300,000, though the company says that less than 1 percent of these led to fraudulent purchases.

If there’s one thing Monolith Soft is known for these days, it’s the Xenoblade series. The company has churned out three massive RPGs between the first and second Xenoblade Chronicles titles along with Xenoblade Chronicles X. We also just received a new version of the series’ debut entry for Switch.

At the same time, he would be interested in developing “a smaller-scale project if the opportunity rose” so that Monolith Soft can have more variety.
