Switch Retail

Monster Energy Supercross: The Official Videogame 3 – $49.99 (available February 4)

Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD recently released on Switch. If that wasn’t enough, we also heard this month that two more entries in the series are on their way to the system. It appears that we now know about the identity for one of those games.

Today, the ESRB classified Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee HD for Switch. Ratings don’t always confirm upcoming releases, but given what we’ve heard pertaining to Oddworld on Nintendo’s console, this is practically a shoe-in.

The Nintendo Switch Online SNES controller has been out of stock for quite some time, but Nintendo promised an update for January. Although the month is almost over, there’s finally some good news.

Nintendo Switch Online can purchase the SNES controller once again. It’s back in stock on Nintendo’s website here. Just like last time, pricing is set at $29.99.

KORG Gadget

KORG Gadget received its latest update this week. Version 3.5 is out now, which adds some interesting new features.

First, arcade controllers and USB PC keyboards are now supported. That’s on top of other features including Auto View, Song Loop, and Note Limit.

Battle Brothers

UKIYO Publishing and Overhype Studios today announced that Battle Brothers is heading to Switch. The procedurally-generated tactics title is due out later in 2020.

On February 14, Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl – Gold will finally be released on Switch in the west. Have a look at some English gameplay below.

Switch has reached another major sales milestone. With Nintendo reporting today that total hardware sales stand at 52.48 million, it has outsold the SNES. Total SNES sales sit at 49.10 million.

Aside from the SNES, Switch previously outsold the Wii U, GameCube, and N64. Those systems moved 13.56 million, 21.74 million, and 32.92 million units respectively.

Switch should next surpass the original NES, which sold 61.91 million units.

Nintendo’s latest financial results are in, and included with the various documents is the upcoming release schedule for Switch. Aside from a look at what’s to come from a first-party perspective, it also provides an overview of some planned third-party titles. We’ve attached the latest schedule below.

Pokemon Sword/Shield

Thanks to Nintendo’s latest financial results, we’re able to get a look at the company’s latest million sellers.

Several titles appear for the first time. Pokemon Sword/Shield has crossed 16 million units, while Luigi’s Mansion 3 is also doing well at over 5 million. We also see Ring Fit Adventure over 2 million while Astral Chain and Marvel Ultimtae Alliance 3 have crossed 1 million.
