Banjo-Kazooie Duet statue

A new Banjo-Kazooie Duet statue has just gone up for pre-order from First 4 Figures.

The statue is inspired by the game’s intro. It shows Banjo strumming the banjo and Kazooie playing the kazoo, “perfectly capturing their upbeat expressions and the joyful atmosphere of the intro.”

Switch 2 rumors Nintendo president Furukawa

Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa has weighed in on recent rumors surrounding the Switch successor, stating that they are “not accurate.”

Furukawa briefly commented on the situation during a financial call today. He didn’t have much to say about a new system, which isn’t surprising. But he did say (as translated by Nintendo Everything): “The rumors online that appear to be public information are not accurate.”

Pikmin 4 best-selling

Pikmin 4 has taken the crown as the series’ new best-selling game. With it launching in mid-July, that was done in about two months.

As revealed by Nintendo’s latest financial results, the title has sold 2.61 million copies worldwide. That’s as of September 30, 2023.

We’ve got the latest Nintendo release schedule for November 2023, which comes as part of the company’s financial results. Fans can get another overview as to what’s planned for Switch from a first and third-party respective.

Even though we’re seemingly at the end of the Switch lifecycle, there’s plenty to look forward to in 2024. Another Code: Recollection, Mario vs. Donkey Kong, Princess Peach: Showtime, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD, and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door are all coming next year. And as always, Metroid Prime 4 is still listed.

Pikmin 4 is the main new entry at 2.61 million units. Aside from that, we also see that Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is almost at 20 million copies sold.

Time Master

Publisher Crescent Moon Games and developer MorpheusZ are teaming up to bring Time Master to Switch, the two sides have announced. Look for it digitally on November 16, 2023.

Time Master is a story-driven puzzle platformer in which you play as Zeno, who accidentally banished his sister and is now trying to bring her back by creating paradoxes. Further information can be found in the following overview:

Tetris 99 Super Mario RPG

Tetris 99 has revealed its 36th Maximus Cup centering around Super Mario RPG. This will be held towards the end of the week leading into early next week.

During the event, players will have an opportunity to earn a theme based on the Super Mario RPG Switch remake. Simply play the online mode and earn points based on your placement in each match. After reaching 100 event points, the theme will be unlocked. It comes with background art, music, and Tetrimino designs inspired by Super Mario RPG.

Astromeda

After a successful run on Kickstarter, Astromeda will be seeing release on Switch. Just over $10,000 was raised for the game’s recent campaign.

For those that haven’t heard about Astromeda, it’s an adventure RPG inspired by Undertale, Celeste, and Hollow Knight. It features a mix of real-time fast-paced and turn-based combat. 

The end is almost here for Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum ‘n’ Fun with Bandai Namco announcing that the game will soon be discontinued. It will go into effect on November 30, 2023. The news also applies worldwide – North America, Europe, and Japan.

The news will not only affect the Switch eShop, but the physical version as well. Bandai Namco says it will no longer be selling the game in stores. However, if you bought it previously, it will continue to work – both the physical and digital version.
