NPD’s preliminary report for September 2016 sales in the United States is starting to make the rounds. AstronautClaire, who has access to the data, was kind enough to share some early information.

Yo-kai Watch 2 was one of Nintendo’s big releases last month. It launched in two versions at the very end of September: Bony Spirits and Fleshy Souls. Between September 30 and October 1, the game sold about 35,000 copies. It’s somewhat tough to comment on Yo-kai Watch 2’s performance thus far given that we have just a couple of days worth of data. However, it is worth noting that Leo Burnett’s Yo-kai Watch 2 commercials have aired 803 times across Disney Channel and Nickelodeon, so quite a bit of money is being spent on advertising.

While it’s taken significantly longer than expected, Azure Striker Gunvolt is finally getting the Japanese Voice Mode on October 20 as part of a 1.3 update. It had originally been announced last year. In the Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack, this is already included on the cartridge.

The Japanese Voice Mode is rather substantial. In addition to restoring voices for all of the characters, the game has been re-localized. A bunch of dialogue has also been added in as Gunvolt moves through stages.

Nintendo recently posted a video interview with Shin’en on its German YouTube page. Martin Sauter, the studio’s art director, took on some community questions. Sauter talked about the history of Shin’en, FAST Racing Neo in depth (making it easier for beginners, length of development, not trying to create an F-Zero spiritual successor), interest in the continued support of Nintendo platforms, and more.

The interview hasn’t been made available in other languages officially, but we did take the time to translate the whole thing in English. Head past the break to read it in full.
