Victory Heat Rally finally launches on Nintendo Switch in December

November 27: It’s been a long time coming, but the Nintendo Switch version of Victory Heat Rally finally has a release date. The game has appeared on the eShop showing that it’s due out on December 12, 2024.
If you’ve been keeping track of our coverage, you may recall that we first reported on the game way back in 2020. The following year, Playtonic picked it up for publishing and it was planned for 2022. The racer finally came to PC recently, and it now looks like we’ll be seeing it on Nintendo Switch very soon.

Beyond the Ice Palace 2 release date set for March, new trailer

PQube and Storybird Studio just passed along a release date for Beyond the Ice Palace 2. On Nintendo Switch and elsewhere, it launches on March 13, 2025.
Beyond the Ice Palace 2, a 2D platformer and sequel, was originally planned for this year. That means the game has technically been delayed, but the wait should be worth it.

Card-en-Ciel update out now (version 1.1.0), new dungeons added

Inti Creates just went live with a version 1.1.0 update for Card-en-Ciel. This is the first major update for the game.
After installing the patch, players will have access to four new post-game Extra Dungeons. Each one comes with a unique special rule that makes the player’s deck and plays more powerful than ever.

Fire Emblem Heroes announces Níðhöggr & Læraðr summoning event

The Fire Emblem Heroes summoning events continue, and next up on the docket is Níðhöggr & Læraðr.
Læraðr: Quieting Heart and Níðhöggr: Quieting Dose will appear in a Double Mythic Heroes summoning event. Players can also summon previously released 5-star Legendary Heroes and Mythic Heroes.
Nintendo Switch Online Holiday 2024 icons now available

Just in time for the holidays, a special wave of user icons are now available on Nintendo Switch Online. They can be claimed until December 25.
Members can obtain designs for different characters, backgrounds, and frames. Contrary to what we typically see, a number of different series are featured. Franchises like Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda are represented here.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind delayed slightly on Nintendo Switch, online play coming later

Digital Eclipse shared an update on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind, confirming that it’s seeing a slight delay on Nintendo Switch and online play will also be following later.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind will initially launch on December 10. However, the Nintendo Switch version will now drop on December 19.
Mario & Luigi: Brothership icons added to Nintendo Switch Online

November 6: Nintendo has made it a point to celebrate game releases with new icons on Switch Online, and now members can obtain new ones based on Mario & Luigi: Brothership.
Different icons will rotate out over the next few weeks. Icons can be claimed featuring characters, backgrounds, and frames. The characters cost 10 Platinum Points each. For backgrounds and frames, each one is 5 Platinum Points.
Nintendo going after members of the SwitchPirates subreddit

According to a filing in federal court in Washington State, Nintendo of America is now going after new targets related to Nintendo Switch piracy, including members of the SwitchPirates subreddit.
We previously heard that James “Archbox” Williams had been sued over selling pirated games. Stemming from its investigation of that case, Nintendo is pursuing others who may have instigated piracy.
