Yacht Club could consider cross-buy for Shovel Knight
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS eShop, News, Wii U eShop | 2 Comments
Yacht Club Games is open to the idea of cross-buy for Shovel Knight. Just don’t expect it anytime soon, as it’s something the studio would have to consider it first.
Yacht Club said on Twitter:
@PostMesmeric Sounds like a unique promotion at the moment! Something that's certainly in our minds just the same though.
— Yacht Club Games (@YachtClubGames) June 30, 2014
Cross-buy is a much-welcomed feature on Nintendo platforms, but it has a long ways to go. It’s only available in Europe at present (with one game thus far), and the functionality seems to be limited to buying the 3DS version first and then picking up the Wii U edition for free.

A closer look at Pokemon Art Academy’s Japanese sales
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
During the week of June 16, Pokemon Art Academy launched in Japan. While it only moved 31,080 copies, the game sold through 70.11 percent of its initial shipment.
Pokemon Art Academy actually could have sold even more if not for a recent Nintendo promotion. The title was made free (starting this month and lasting through the end of July) as part of Nintendo’s Recommended Monthly Software Campaign. You also have to consider that overall sales slowed during the week due to it being the week before payday.
