Battle Suit Aces

Battle Suit Aces is seeing release on Nintendo Switch, Trinket Studios has announced. The game is due out on October 7, 2025.

Battle Suit Aces comes from the same team as Battle Chef Brigade. In the card-battling RPG, players will recruit, befriend, and upgrade mech pilots on while pursuing the alien superweapons known as the Relic Suits.

Minecraft Superman DLC

Minecraft has revealed its latest DLC collaboration, which is Superman. It can be accessed via the Minecraft Marketplace.

In the DLC, Lex Luthor has a new scheme in mind and is stirring ruckus in Metropolis to distract Superman. Players will need to soar through the air, take on enemies, and solve puzzles. Various locations are featured in the DLC, including the Fortress of Solitude as the hub where you can take on missions, check out collectibles, and play with Krypto, Metropolis which holds the citizens, LuthorCorp where you’ll fight Lex Luthor and other bosses, and Hall of Justice with Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, Mister Terrific, and Metamorpho.

Among Us Detective and Viper roles update

Among Us just went live with a new version 17.0.0 update, and with it, Detective and Viper roles have been added.

Detective is a Crewmate role, which lets you interrogate Crewmates, reveal locations, solve murders. Viper is an Imposter role in which you can dissolve corpses with acid (a new kill animation is also included).

Star Ocean First Departure R physical

Square Enix and Limited Run Games are teaming up for a physical release of Star Ocean First Departure R on Nintendo Switch, they’ve announced.

Plans are in the works for a standard copy, Steelbook Bundle Edition, and Ultimate Edition. The Steelbook Bundle Edition comes with a steelbook (naturally) as well as a slipcase and double-sided poster. The Ultimate Edition contains these same items as well as a soundtrack CD, standees, 3D display cube, enamel pin, poster, and certificate of authenticity.

SEGA and Atlus today unveiled their combined lineup for the 2025 Tokyo Game Show.

On the Nintendo front, we’ll be seeing Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage, and Persona 3 Reload. Other titles appearing include Football Manager 26, The Phantom X, and SEGA Football Club Champions 2025. Four unspecified titles have been teased as well. 

If you bought the recent Nintendo Switch version of UFO 50, you can now download an update for the game. Version 1.7.8.30 has gone live.

Following feedback, the home menu icon has been updated. A pixel perfect scaling option and button swapping have also been added in.

Hollow Knight Silksong update

Hollow Knight: Silksong has only been out for a few days, but the game’s first update has already been announced with version 1.0.28470. It should be out soon on Nintendo’s consoles.

Notably, adjustments will be included here. One upcoming change involves nerfing a couple of early game bosses to turn down the difficulty. Other adjustments and fixes are included as well.

Shuten Order trailer

To celebrate the launch of Shuten Order, a launch trailer has come in. This multi-genre adventure game for Nintendo Switch comes from creators Kazutaka Kodaka and Takumi Nakazawa.

Leslie Swan, a former localization manager at Nintendo of America who spent nearly three decades at the company, has spoken about how Princess Peach’s “Toadstool” name came to be.

In the Japanese version of Super Mario Bros., the character was simply known as Princess Peach. However, for the U.S. version, it changed to Princess Toadstool. It turns out that this happened due to the ad agency coming up with the name on its own.
