Nyoki Nyoki: Tabidachi Hen, a new Japanese 3DS eShop game from Puyo Puyo creator Masamitsu Niitani and his company Compile Maru, made its playable debut at BitSummit last weekend. Inside Games posted a little bit of off-screen footage from the demo, which we have below.

On Thursday, Nintendo will be kicking off a two-week sale for the classic Pokemon RPGs on the 3DS eShop. Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow will be reduced to €6.99, a 30 percent discount. The offer will be valid until July 28.

SmileBASIC has been pulled from the 3DS eShop, and you probably won’t be surprised to hear why. Members of the homebrew community recently discovered an exploit within the app to run unauthorized code on the system. Naturally, that’s not something Nintendo wants, so SmileBASIC can no longer be purchased – at least for now.

Defend Your Crypt won’t require much space when it arrives in North America and Europe next Thursday. On Wii U, the download is just 46MB. The 3DS version needs 56 blocks of free space, or 7MB.

Defend Your Crypt isn’t just releasing in Europe next week. We’ve heard from Ratalaika Games that North America will have it on the same day – July 21.

After dating Adventure Labyrinth Story for July 21 in Europe, Circle Entertainment has now made the news official with an announcement. We’re also hearing that the North American launch is targeted for August.
