Natsume sent out new information about Gotcha Racing today, and we have a handful of additional screenshots as well.

Here’s the lowdown from the company:

First debuted at E3 2015, Gotcha Racing is top-down racing game with a twist: parts you use to make your car are dispensed by Capsule Machines! As players progress and gain access to better Capsule Machines, your car will become the envy of the racing world! Using both screens means plenty of track visibility, and seeing your personalized car front and center makes for an exciting perspective not typically seen in other racing games.

Each car is comprised of three parts – body, wheels, and engine – and will boost the car’s stats: Acceleration, Speed, Braking, Cornering, and Drift. How racers build their cars is entirely up to them: high acceleration, low top speed, with good cornering? High top speed with maxed-out drifting? Customize the car that you want to drive, then put it to the test on tracks that have twists, turns, and plenty of other cars looking to score the top spot! Then use your winnings to draw more capsules and combine new parts. Each part has a maximum number of times it can be successfully combined, so drivers will need to prioritize which stats they want to boost the most!

Once you have perfected your car, race on 12 different tracks, compete in Grand Prix races, and conquer six different racing grades while trying your luck with numerous capsule machines to unlock! Use StreetPass to race against other players and receive even more parts, or tap into Play Coins for special parts not available anywhere else.

Gotcha Racing is due out on the North American 3DS eShop this summer. Take a look at the latest screenshots below.

More:

Nintendo and digital media university DigiPen – in conjunction with Media Development Authority – today launched the DigiPen Game Studios. This new group will be looking to discover and publish titles from Singapore.

DigiPen Game Studios will be scouting potential projects to support during a conference that will be held later in the year. Proposals that are chosen will be developed and eventually distributed for sale on the 3DS eShop, though other gaming systems could eventually follow. DigiPen International chief operating officer Jason Chu has said that the company hopes to select ten games from Singapore by next year.

Developers that are chosen for this new initiative will receive mentorship and assistance from DigiPen. Additionally, Nintendo intends to fully market the different games.

A brand new Cresselia stage is now up and gives you the chance to catch the 4th gen legendary! This special event is an escalation battle, where every time you complete the event it will get progressively harder. However, the harder it gets, the better the rewards and the easier it becomes to catch Cresselia. Once you reach level 5, you will be awarded Moves +5, at level 10 you will receive a Disruption Delay, a Mega Start at level 30, and a Mega Speedup at level 50, should you choose to play it that many times.

As usual with these brand new events and challenges, be sure to hit the Check In button to grab the latest patch and gain access to this stage. Good luck!

A new stage which allows you to catch Wobbuffet has now been added to Pokemon Shuffle. This new Wobbuffet stage is a little different from other events and challenges, however, as this special stage will let you try as many items as you see fit without the need to spend coins.

The stage will run from today until August 15th and will introduce a new item to be used at your disposal. Starting today, the stage will begin with Mega Start, followed by Disruption Delay on July 27th, Attack Power Up on August 3rd, and Complexity -1 on August 10th.

As usual, don’t forget to update your game to get the latest patch and gain access to this stage. Good luck!
