3DS eShop

Since last year, it’s been possible for North American and Japanese users to redeem eShop download codes without turning on their Wii U or 3DS. Unfortunately, European Nintendo fans have had to wait a while for that feature to become available in their region. That time has now come – visit this URL, log in with a European NNID and you can start entering download codes. Pre-ordering games and remotely downloading them still doesn’t work, but hopefully that’s a feature that will be added in the near future.

The Mega Lucario stage is back for the third time in Pokémon Shuffle and will grant you yet another chance at obtaining a Lucarionite for your Lucario, which cannot be obtained by normal means.

If you already have a Lucarionite from one of the previous events, you will be awarded two Jewels. If you have yet to win, however, you’ll have to be ranked as one of the top 15k in Europe, 30k in North America, and 60k in Japan to earn yourself a Lucario’s Mega Stone.

As usual, be sure to hit Check In to update your game and gain access to this event. You have until July 20th to enter.

At Hyper Japan in the UK this weekend, Nintendo was handing out AR cards that could be used with the 3DS eShop application Photos with Animal Crossing. Previously, this was only made available in Japan back in November 2013.

Those who were lucky enough to be present at Hyper Japan could secure a download for Photos with Animal Crossing by entering a unique code on the eShop. It’s valid through the end of September.

At this time, it’s unknown if Nintendo has full-scale release plans for Photos with Animal Crossing in North America and Europe.

Several new games out came out this week on the Wii U and 3DS eShops. If you’re interested in checking out what’s new in screenshot form, take a peak at the gallery below.

Bandai is releasing a Denpa Men card game in Japan. Starting from August 8th, booster packs containing six cards each will be available in stores. However, it’s not just a simple card game – each card contains a code that can be redeemed in the 3DS game Denpa Ningen no RPG Free to get Denpa Men and free items.

Since Denpa Ningen no RPG Free is currently Japan-only, a release of the card game in the West seems fairly unlikely, unfortunately.

A brand new special challenge is now available which gives you the chance to catch the God of Pokémon, Arceus. Oddly enough, unlike other events, this one doesn’t require you to Check In to update your game and gain access to it. Simply boot up the game and have a shot at catching Arceus! The first time you beat the stage you’ll be awarded 1000 coins. You’ll have until July 24th to catch Arceus. Good luck!

Seviper is now available on Pokémon Shuffle! This is the final daily stage of the week, and will be made available for two weeks following and is unobtainable outside of this event. You only have one attempt a day to catch Seviper, so get it while you can!

As usual, be sure to Check In to update your game and gain access to the event. Good luck!

Nintendo has been adding new content to Collectible Badge Center pretty much every week. Here’s a look at what’s new with today’s update:

– Eight BoxBoy! panels
– This includes app icons (Mii Plaza, eShop, Settings, Activity Log etc etc)
– One more panel from Animal Crossing (including Isabelle!)
– Another panel for Rhythm Heaven
– One free play
– Another set (of four) Baito badges with one free for each ¥90 you spend until 31 July
– There’s also a theme but instead of being free after spending ¥180, you can but it outright for 200 yen
– This theme includes BGM as opposed to the ‘free’ themes

Nintendo has yet to make Collectible Badge Center available in the west. We’re hoping that will change at some point in the future!
