Metroid Prime: Blast Ball – eShop version’s servers going offline in early September

Towards the end of last week, Metroid Prime: Blast Ball was added to the 3DS eShop for free. It’s basically the entire game that will be included in Federation Force. However, the severs will be going offline at some point. The eShop didn’t specify when, but now we have a better idea. Nintendo’s website mentions: “In early September, the multiplayer servers will switch over to support the full game only.”
So you have until then to play Federation Force online with others. But even after September passes, you can continue to play single-player as well as locally with others.

Yo-kai Watch 3 gets first review in Famitsu

In a recent issue, Famitsu published its review of Yo-kai Watch 3. The magazine seemed to think highly of the RPG, as it earned a score of 37 points out of 40. Four editors scored it with “10”, “9”, “9”, and “9”.
The introduction of new elements and the story were praised. Famitsu also felt positively about the battle system, though one editor felt that it might feel a tad complex.

Deals roundup: Kirby series amiibo under $10, more

A few notable deals are available over at Amazon. First, the Kirby series amiibo are all under $10 each. You can also nab Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker for $30 ($10 off), Yoshi’s Woolly World for $30 (save $20), and Mario Party 10 for $30 (save $10). No word on how long these will last, unfortunately.
Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse retail listing also appears in Europe, Rising Star likely publishing in NA

GameFly added a listing for Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse to its website a couple of days ago, suggesting that a 3DS retail version in North America is on the horizon. A European release also appears on the way. Just recently, Amazon Spain put up a listing of its own for the game.
Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse looks to be coming out around the same time in North America and Europe. On GameFly, a September 20 release date was included. Amazon’s Spain has it for September 16 (for €29.99, by the way).
Oh, and one other tidbit. GameFly listed Maximum Games as the publisher of Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse in North America. We assumed that was a mistake, and it turns out that was probably right. Judging by this tweet, Rising Star Games will actually be publishing. They’re also handling SteamWorld Collection in North America.

Another Dragon Ball: Fusions scan shows Maxi-Fusion, Frieza’s spaceship

A second new scan of Dragon Ball: Fusions scan has emerged, with just a few days to go before the full game launches in Japan.
The latest images once again come from V-Jump. We’re also get another look at Maxi-Fusion as well as Frieza’s spaceship, which was reconstructed by Capsule Corporation and serves as the player’s headquarters.
