Finally we have a photo of Shigeru Miyamoto, Eiji Aonuma, and Reggie Fils-Aime together as we head into tomorrow’s E3 stream. Miyamoto and Aonuma are both wearing t-shirts that feature the same Sheikah symbol found on the E3 site. Not too long to go before the fun begins!

Beyond Good & Evil 2 was first made known nearly a decade ago. Yet despite that, we’ve heard next to nothing about the project since then.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot did offer up some words of encouragement during the official YouTube E3 stream. He told host Geoff Keighley that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is “still on the way”, and that it’s something we’ll see at some point.

Guillemot added that creator Michel Ancel is working on it, but he’s currently handling two games – the other being Wild. It’s coming along, but Ancel needs to spend more time on the project.

Destructoid shared a rumor earlier in the year claiming that Nintendo is funding Beyond Good & Evil 2 as an NX exclusive. Whether or not that’s true remains to be seen.

Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime, speaking with Washington Times, said that the shooting in Orlando which took place this past weekend was “tremendously shocking and devastating.”

When it comes to E3, Reggie added that he’s unsure if the situation “will directly affect the mood”. However, “anyone who is a parent or feels they have a voice is certainly going to be thinking about how we as a country and culture move forward and address it.”

There are plenty of streaming options when it comes to coverage of this year’s E3. YouTube for example, has been going all out with its own live stream starting today. Outlets like IGN and GameSpot will also be hosting streams throughout the week.

With GameSpot, it may be worth keeping an eye on their coverage. The site has listed “New Nintendo game” twice – one for Tuesday, and again for Wednesday (presumably two different titles).

On Tuesday, Nintendo will be showing up at 2:20 PM PT / 5:20 PM ET. Then on Wednesday, Nintendo will be back at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET.

The question of course is whether these will actually be entirely new games. I could see one of those slots (if not both) being used for Zelda. Guess we’ll see!

Reggie Fils-Aime isn’t the only Nintendo bigwig at E3 this year. Shigeru Miyamoto and Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma have also been spotted by the show. Given the presence of the new Zelda game at E3, it makes sense that both of them are there!

The E3 2016 badge lanyard features none other than Zelda. One side includes art from the upcoming Wii U / NX game while the other has Link from previous entries. We have a look at the full lanyard in this post – see above and below.

As relayed by Q-Games’ Dylan Cuthbert, Nintendo will be participating in BitSummit next month. It’s the first time that the company will be present at the event.

BitSummit 2016 will take place on July 9 and July 10 in Kyoto. During the event, a variety of indie games are showcased.

It’s not too often that we let a silly post slip through the cracks, but hey: E3 is nearly here, and that’s all about good vibes and fun. So here’s a picture of Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime outside the LA Convention Center. His body is ready for E3.

The large bulk of Nintendo’s E3 plans start on Tuesday. However, there might be something for fans to look forward to on Monday as well.

Sometime between 5:30 PM ET and 6 PM ET (2:30 PM PT and 3 PM PT), Nintendo will be stopping by the official YouTube stream hosted by Geoff Keighley. The schedule notes that “special guests” will be appearing, but doesn’t provide specific information.

YouTube’s E3 streaming page can be found here.

Geoff Keighley, the man behind The Game Awards, made it pretty clear that we’d be seeing the show return this year. We didn’t know when it’d take place, but December was always a safe bet based on prior events.

A banner shown outside the doors of E3 now reveals a specific date. The Game Awards 2016 will take place on December 1. This summer, we’ll be getting more details.

Keighley will also be hosting a new gaming awards initiative later in the year. The Kids’ Game Awards are set for October, and Nintendo is on the advisory board.
