New “Final Fantasy Committee” looks to maintain franchise’s quality

Square Enix is forming a new “Final Fantasy Committee”. By doing so, the company hopes to maintain a high level of quality with the franchise.
Yoshinori Kitase, Hajime Tabata, Naoki Yoshida and Motomu Toriyama will lead the new group. Final Fantasy XV director and series character designer Tetsuya Nomura does not appear to be involved.
Aonuma unsure if there will be more Zelda remakes, wants to see how Wind Waker HD does

Two Zelda remakes have come out since 2011. Ocarina of Time 3D hit the 3DS in 2011, and Wind Waker HD just launched a few weeks ago.
Nintendo’s apparent interest in remaking Zelda games brings about the question: could we see more of them in the future?
Series producer Eiji Aonuma isn’t making any commitments. “Remakes are popular now,” he admitted in a 4Gamer interview, “but we don’t know whether or not we will keep doing them from this point forward.” Aonuma is interested in seeing “how well Wind Waker HD does” before making any decisions for the future.

Warner Bros. has one final Batman: Arkham Origins trailer to publish before launch next Friday.
The new video, Black Mask “Every waking minute”, will be unleashed next week. That’s according to Origins creative director Eric Holmes.
Holmes tweeted just a short while ago:
We have one more gameplay trailer to go. This one is all about Black Mask's perspective on the coming night. Plus – an assassin reveal!

Disney Infinity players downloaded over 1 million toy boxes in first two weeks

According to Disney, more than a million Disney Infinity toy boxes were downloaded during the title’s first two weeks of availability. That figure is across all versions of the game.
As you may remember, Disney Infinity launched two months ago. Players have likely downloaded tons more toy boxes since then.
September 2013 NPD: Nintendo’s response, Wii U hardware sales rise by 200% over August

Nintendo’s has responded to the latest NPD sales results.
The 3DS was once again the best-selling console in the US, and Wii U hardware sales saw a boost as well. The console saw a 200 percent rise over August – and that’s with only 15 days of data being reported at the new $299.99 price point.
