February 2024 Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase video

The full February 2024 Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase is now here in its entirety. Fans can tune in to the 25-minute presentation for the latest look at upcoming Switch titles.

This doesn’t happen often, but the full event is immediately available – there’s no stream. It should come in handy if you’re only interested in checking out certain segments or quickly scrolling through.

Slave Zero X delayed Switch

According to Ziggurat and Poppy Works, the Switch version of Slave Zero X has been delayed. The game will now be releasing on Nintendo’s platform sometime this spring (early spring at that).

There were no prior notices about the Switch version seeing issues so this news comes as a bit of a surprise. Slave Zero X never received a page on the eShop, though that’s not always indicative of a delay.


Aarik and the Ruined Kingdom

Shatterproof Games intends to release Aarik and the Ruined Kingdom on Switch, the studio has announced. It will be available shortly after the initial launch on May 26, 2024.

Aarik and the Ruined Kingdom is a puzzle game in which players guide Aarik through wreck and ruin and learn about the mysteries of a long-neglected kingdom. More information can be found in the following overview:

Jungler is joining the Arcade Archives series on Switch, Hamster announced today. It will be available on February 22, 2024.

Jungler is an action game that was first released by Konami in 1981. The aim is to defeat the enemies wandering around the maze, either by firing a bullet at its tail or hitting it head-on if it’s shorter than your character.

Jungler will be sold digitally on the Switch eShop. Pricing is set at $7.99 / €6.99 / £6.29.

Balatro launch trailer

Playstack and LocalThunk have come through with a launch trailer for Balatro . Today, the poker-inspired roguelike deckbuilder made its way to Switch.

Splatoon 3 update 7.0.0

It’s almost time for the next big Splatoon 3 update as version 7.0.0 is coming very soon.

The update not only prepares for the Side Order DLC, but also gets ready for Fresh Season 2024 and everything it includes such as a new catalog, new gear, Marlin Airport stage, and more. Elsewhere Nintendo is implementing a ton of adjustments and bug fixes.

Minecraft add-ons

Minecraft: Bedrock Edition was updated today, and the Switch version now supports add-ons.

Add-ons can be accessed through the Minecraft Marketplace. Players can use them to bring in new blocks, mobs, items, recipes, and other content to existing worlds and new ones. Add-ons can be combined as well. Players will also be interested to know that they’re easy to install, as they simply needed to be downloaded from the Minecraft Marketplace.

#Blud

Today, publisher Humble Games and developer Exit 73 Studios announced that a Switch version of #Blud is in development. The title is due out on June 18, 2024.

#Blud, an animated dungeon crawler “blurs the line between action RPGs and hyperkinetic 90s cartoons.” More information can be found in the following overview:
