Whatever

Publisher Pineapple Works and developer Napas Torteeka have announced that they’re partnering on Whatever, a top-down isometric cargo ship drifting game. It will make its way to Switch in Q4 2022.

Amazon buy 2 get 1 June 2022

Original (6/12): Every so often we see buy 2, get 1 free sales from retailers, and a new one has just started up on Amazon.

As a Nintendo site, we’ll mention that a few different Switch games are included. It’s looking like the selection will be updated over the next few days, but currently the just-released Metal Max Xeno: Reborn, Triangle Strategy, Game Builder Garage, Pac-Man Museum+, Among Us: Ejected Edition, and WRC 10 are included.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R Lisa Lisa

Bandai Namco is back with another character trailer for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R, which puts the spotlight on Lisa Lisa. She’s a master of the Ripple technique and uses this ability through her unique scarf.

sonic frontiers no delay

SEGA finally unveiled the first gameplay from Sonic Frontiers this month. Unfortunately, the fan reaction wasn’t too positive. Fans weren’t impressed with what was shown, which even resulted in #DelaySonicFrontiers trending on Twitter for a bit.

VGC recently was able to speak with Sonic Team studio head Takashi Iizuka, and asked about the reaction. Iizuka said that it wasn’t “that surprising” given how the open zone format is such a different take for the series, but feels players will get a better understanding once they try it out for themselves.

Bunny Park

Publisher SOEDESCO, along with developer Cozy Bee Games, are teaming up to bring Bunny Park to Switch. The sim title is due out on the console sometime in September.

mario strikers battle league trailer

Original (6/12): This week’s UK software sales are in, and it’s brought along an initial report on the performance of Mario Strikers: Battle League.

The sports game managed to hit #1 on the physical chart. However, launch week sales are 20 percent lower compared to Mario Golf: Super Rush, and 6 percent below Mario Tennis Aces.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Zeon

The news updates for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 continue, and we now have a look at another character in the game with Zeon.

Various tidbits have been shared across Nintendo’s official Twitter accounts over the past couple of months. There have been a few new things that have been shown, plus returning elements that fans of the series are already familiar with plus more.

Onsen Master

Publisher Whitethorn Games and developer Waking Oni Games today announced that Onsen Master, a hot spring customer management game, will be released on Switch. It’s due out later this summer.

Onsen Master takes inspiration from the Studio Ghibli film Spirited Away which has the protagonist working with spirits at a bathhouse. That led to the title’s hot spring customer management gameplay as well as the Japanese setting and aesthetic. Onsen Master has seen five years of development, a successful Kickstarter campaign and beta period, and a partnership with Whitethorn Games.

Developer Merlino Games and publisher Digerati have announced that UNDETECTED will be launching on Switch via the eShop in Q4 of this year. The game places a heavy emphasis on stealthy gameplay with non-lethal melee attacks and weapons, rather than deadly force, and offers various difficulty options to the player.
