The Battle Cats Unite west English

It’s taken quite some time, but The Battle Cats Unite is finally about to launch an English version in the west.

The game first launched on Switch in Japan in 2020. An English version did come out a year later, but it was only in Asia. Now Ponos is planning an official launch in North America and Europe.

Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD has a couple of days to go until its ready for primetime, but Nintendo already published the launch trailer. Various footage from the experience is shown throughout the video.

Dros release date

Courtesy of RedDeerGames, we have a release date for the Switch version of Dros. The title arrives on July 12, 2024.

Dros was originally made known for Switch a couple of years ago. While the port was originally planned for launch last year, the game took a bit longer than expected.

Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration Expanded Edition

Today, Atari and Digital Eclipse announced Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration Expanded Edition, a significant expansion to the original release. It’s slated for October 25, 2024 on Switch.

Atari 50: The Anniversary Collection adds two new timelines and 39 games to the playable Atari retrospective. Those who own the original release can obtain the new content as DLC later this year.

Luigi's Mansion 2 HD developer

The developer behind Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD has been revealed, and it turns out that Tantalus Media was in charge of the port.

Luigi’s Mansion 2 first came to the 3DS in 2013, though in North America it was known as Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon. Next Level Games developed that title as well as Luigi’s Mansion 3. After working on Mario Strikers: Battle League, Next Level should be handling a completely new game.

Let's School release date

June 1: Let’s School secured a release date, and the game is set to come out on July 16, 2024. A new listing on the eShop provides us with that news.

PM Studios just confirmed that Let’s School would be heading to Switch in April. The company is on track to hit its launch target, as we heard it was slated for this summer.

Prune & Milo

Prune & Milo is heading to Switch, publisher JanduSoft and developer Flocons Studio announced today. A release is scheduled for July 11, 2024.

Prune & Milo is a turn-based puzzle game with pixel art. The title is said to be “brimming with secrets, dangers, and a host of unusual characters.”

Palia Bloomin' Bounties update 0.181

Palia players have even more to look forward to, as the “Bloomin’ Bounties” update is just about ready to go as part of version 0.181.

Players can visit the Black Market Underground to take a spin on the returning fan-favorite Zeki’s Prize Wheel, enjoy increased rewards with the enhanced Party Buff system when you party up, create industrial structures using new Building Blocks materials. Also available is pirate furniture, a new Pet in the Premium Shop, and more.

Palworld Switch

Takuro Mizobe, the head of Palworld developer Pocketpair, recently said that the studio hasn’t received any complains from Nintendo or The Pokemon Company, and also commented briefly on a potential Switch version.

Since its reveal, Palworld has drawn plenty of comparisons to Pokemon for its creature designs. While not specifically mentioning the game specifically, The Pokemon Company issued a statement (read it in full here) a few months ago stating that it would “investigate and take appropriate measures to address any acts that infringe on intellectual property rights”. At least for now, it seems nothing came of that.
