A trailer leaked yesterday, and now it’s official: Fortnite Chapter 2 is now available. The complete patch notes aren’t available yet, but here’s a brief overview from Epic:

 

Drop in to a New World
Choose your landing spot and explore an all-new island featuring 13 new locations.

New Water Gameplay
Swimming, Fishing, Motorboats, and more!

Support Your Squad
Heal your squad with the Bandage Bazooka, carry your fallen team mates to safety, and celebrate with new group emotes like highfives!

Hideouts and Explosives
Hide in Haystacks and Dumpsters to get the drop on your opponent or go in blazing by blowing up gas tanks and explosive barrels.

Upgraded Combat
Get back to basics and battle enemies with a stream lined weapon arsenal. Upgrade weapons using resources at the Upgrade Bench.

More Fun, Less Grind
Level through an all new Battle Pass featuring a brand new XP system and Medals you earn in match.

Tomorrow, on October 16, there was going to be a launch event for the Switch version of Overwatch at the Nintendo NY store. Several of the voice actors from the game were going to be in attendance. Today, Nintendo NY announced that the launch event has been cancelled by Blizzard. No reason was given, but it seems likely that it’s due to the recent controversy involving Blizzard and its stance on the current political situation in Hong Kong.

By far the most common issue players had with the Switch version of Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast was the lack of an option to invert the Y-axis, a popular choice for games that require precise aiming. Developer Aspyr previously said that they were working on a patch to add that option to the game. Today, that patch has finally been released, and you’ll be able to invert the Y-axis after downloading it.

Celebrated indie horror game Tokyo Dark: Remembrance is heading to the Switch, as was announced last year. Today, developer Cherrymochi announced the release date for the game: November 7. Starting on November 31, you’ll be able to pre-order the game on the eShop with a 20% launch discount.

The next Sync Pair coming to Pokemon Masters has been announced. Elesa & Zebstrika will be available in a Spotlight Scout soon; the exact date for the Scout hasn’t been announced yet. Additionally, an Electric type training event will also take place soon; we don’t know the dates for that one either at the moment.

Another New Power Summoning Focus has gone live in Fire Emblem Heroes. The 5-star focus units are Heroes who recently received new weapon refinement options: Lute: Prodigy, Virion: Elite Archer, Hawkeye: Desert Guardian and Frederick: Polite Knight. The Summoning Focus will be available until October 22nd.

The Nintendo eShop page for Skullgirls 2nd Encore has confirmed that the fighting game will release for Switch later this month on October 22nd.
