January 18: Today, Qureate unveiled Maid of the Dead as its latest game for Switch. It’s due out this spring.
Maid of the Dead, a shooting action game, in which players look to restore peace in Akiba by controlling gun-slinging maids and defeating zombies. Further details can be found below.

Super Nintendo World Hollywood announces first anniversary celebrations

The Super Nintendo World location at Universal Studios Hollywood is about to celebrate its first anniversary in a couple of weeks, and a few initiatives are planned for the milestone. The all-new Power Up Cafe will be opening, a special-release Golden Power-Up Band will be available, and a limited-edition complimentary 1-Year Anniversary Button is planned as well.
The Power Up Cafe opens on New York Street can be accessed starting February 15 on New York Street, located on the Upper Lot inside the theme park. It’ll include exclusive Super Mario Power Up themed menu items and guests will be able to order either at the venue or via Universal Studios Hollywood’s official mobile app.

Rumor: Hi-Fi Rush coming to Switch, Sea of Thieves a possibility

January 8: Rumors have been circulating over the past few days regarding Xbox bringing some of its previous games to other platforms, with Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves named as potential titles for Switch. Speculation points to the former being more likely than the latter (for now).
Talk began after NateDrake, during an episode of his latest podcast, claimed that “Microsoft will be dabbling in bringing a first-party game to a competitor platform in 2024.” lolilolailo, who has previously leaked some other information, backed up the report by indicating that there are plans for Hi-Fi Rush on Switch.

Virche Evermore – EpiC: Lycoris seeing English release on Switch in the west

Today, Aksys Games announced that it’s localizing Virche Evermore – EpiC: Lycoris for Switch in the west. The English version is slated for Fall 2024.
Virche Evermore – EpiC: Lycoris, an otome visual novel, follows the last tile – ErroR: Salvation – that landed on Switch in the west last November. Read more about the upcoming title below.

Aksys Games, Kemco, and Fragaria today confirmed plans to bring Tales from Toyotoki: Arrival of the Witch to the west. This one is scheduled for Summer 2024.
Tales from Toyotoki: Arrival of the Witch originally released in Japan in April 2023. In that region, it was known as The Witch of the Ihanashi and Kagamihara Justice.

Tokyo Xanadu eX+ will be seeing English release on Switch in the west, publisher Aksys Games and developer Falcom just revealed. Fans will be able to pick it up in June 2024.
Tokyo Xanadu eX+ was originally announced for Switch last year and released in Japan last June. This version of the action RPG includes new scenarios, new playable characters, new modes, and more.
