The Walking Dead: The Final Season

Telltale’s The Walking Dead series started way back in 2012. It will all finally conclude with a final season, which is now confirmed for Switch.

Telltale has not yet actually released any of the prior series on Nintendo consoles. But today, the company announced that The Walking Dead: The Final Season will appear on Switch later this year.

We have more information about The Walking Dead: The Final Season below, along with a trailer.

Earlier today, some comments leaked out from the latest issue of Famitsu from an interview with Pokemon president Tsunekazu Ishihara. In addition to speaking broadly about what’s planned for the 2019 games on Switch, he also touched on Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu / Eevee.

We’ve now translated a more complete version of the original comments posted online. Read up on what Ishihara had to say below.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was confirmed to have sold over one million copies in Japan a few months ago. However, Wii U sales factored into that number. Digital sales also played a role.

With the latest Media Create data provided today, we now know that Zelda: Breath of the Wild has sold one million copies on Switch alone. The game moved another 6,722 copies at retail during the week of May 28. In total, it has sold 1,004,689 units on Nintendo’s current console.

WarioWare Gold

WarioWare’s North American boxart is in. The packaging image was apparently posted on the Russian Nintendo Facebook page, but was removed shortly after.

It’s always neat to look at boxarts, but this one is particularly noteworthy. We’re able to get a good look at a new character that Nintendo has yet to mention. Right by Ashley, we’re able to see a girl with a bow in her hair. The question is, who is she?

Thanks to Justin for the tip.

Tennis World Tour

Tennis World Tour likely could have used some additional time in the over. According to Bigben Interactive president, the game was just 20% finished weeks before release. However, a major delay wasn’t possible due to marketing having already been in place and wanting a release in time for the French Open.

Where do we go from here? Well, Flac says that a refined version is planned for 2019. A new game is also lined up for 2020 – 2021.

As for Tennis World Tour in its current state, Flac noted that it will meet expectations having shipped 500,000 to distributors and already achieving a profit. Bigben also hopes to increase its Meta score and be in the 80s in the next few years.
