The Game Awards 2018

The Game Awards are returning for a fifth consecutive year. Creator and host Geoff Keighley announced today that this year’s show will be held on December 6 from Los Angeles. Tickets go on sale this Friday at AXS.com.

Nintendo took home a few different awards last year, including Game of the Year for Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The company also revealed and released The Champions’ Ballad DLC for that game, announced Bayonetta 1 and 2 for Switch, and unveiled Bayonetta 3.

After a small hiccup, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle’s first character pack is now free on the eShop. Platinum, Kanji Tatsumi, and Orie Ballardiae are included. You’ll have just two weeks to download the pack for free.

Lanota

Flyhigh Works has announced that the rhythm game Lanota is landing on the Japanese Switch eShop next week. It’s expected to arrive on June 14 for 1,500 yen. If not the same day, North America and Europe should be getting the game soon as well.

SEGA and Atlus have announced their joint lineup for this year’s E3. The company will have a diverse range of games on display in West Hall, booth #5222.

Valkyria Chronicles 4, Yakuza Kiwami 2, Shining Resonance Refrain, Team Sonic Racing, Total War: Three Kingdoms, and Catherine: Full Body will all be featured. Also planned are a pair of Atlus titles for unspecified platforms that will be announced tomorrow. Additionally, SEGA and Atlus will be streaming throughout E3 on social media with exclusive content and developer interviews.

According to a listing on the Japanese eShop, D3 Publisher is bringing Pub Encounter to Switch. The visual novel, also known as Pub Encounter in Japan, is on track for June 14. English is supported, so we should be seeing it in the west soon.

Another World, also known as Out of This World, is landing on Switch later this month. The cinematic platformer will be available starting June 25, DotEmu has announced.

A listing on the Japanese eShop reveals the next NeoGeo game for Switch. On June 14, Super Sidekicks 3: The Next Glory will be arriving worldwide.

Super Sidekicks 3: The Next Glory is a soccer game made by SNK. It will cost $7.99 / €6.99 / £6.29.

The Walking Dead: The Final Season

Telltale’s The Walking Dead series started way back in 2012. It will all finally conclude with a final season, which is now confirmed for Switch.

Telltale has not yet actually released any of the prior series on Nintendo consoles. But today, the company announced that The Walking Dead: The Final Season will appear on Switch later this year.

Earlier today, some comments leaked out from the latest issue of Famitsu from an interview with Pokemon president Tsunekazu Ishihara. In addition to speaking broadly about what’s planned for the 2019 games on Switch, he also touched on Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu / Eevee.
